Q: 4. I need to display a 35lb quilt. Will this hold or should I buy a middle support?

A: The quilt will hang much differently than a roll of seamless, which spreads it's weight over the entire roll. I would not use this stand for your quilt- the center of the crossbar will take all the weight, and the stands-if not weighted down-will fall in.

Q: 5. Is it possible to order an extra center bracket who I can connect 2 sets of stands and extend my cloth backdrop!

A: Bit late to the party, but yes, Savage offers the pivoting bracket - it was $12 when I checked last - https://savageuniversal.com/products/replacement-parts/universal-stand-pivoting-bracket/

A: The footprint on this stand is 40".

Q: 7. Are the widths adjustable? If I wanted to hang an 8x10 drop on one side and an 8x8 on the other to create a room would I be able to adjust the length to clip the 8x8 drop?

A: Yes. The following unit adapts to telescopic crossbars and very easy to adjust from 4 1/2 ft to 12 ft.

Q: 8. Can you select any angle for the middle or are you restricted to 180 and 90 degrees?

A: You can select any angle you choose. You would not be restricted to 180 and 90 degrees.

Q: 9. How much weight can this hold?

A: According to the manufacturer, each segment of the Savage Universal Background Stand has a maximum weight limit of 20 lb (9.07 kg).

Q: 10. If you do not want the corner setup and only want the full width, how do you attach the middle section without a large gap that the bracket causes? I purchased this expecting to assemble it to look like the second product photo and use two rolls of paper side by side to create a large backdrop. This, however, does not seem possible.

A: According to the manufacturer, this stand would not be able to have two rolls of seamless placed along the full length without having a gap in the center.

[7.9 lb] Does the job well. Strong and durable. Savage delivers! It's a big plus it has a telescopic crossbar so you're not restricted at 3', 6' or 9'. Holds a 9' paper roll no problem! 5

[7.9 lb] I do not have my own studio and so I travel to my clients homes. This stand is so easy and quick to assemble. It's also light weight which makes it very easy to take in and out of my car. The bag that it comes with looks professional and makes it that much easier to travel with the stand. I am very pleased with this purchase and will get a lot of use out of it. 5

[7.9 lb] This stand is extremely sturdy when set up, and clients are often surprised that it's so portable. It was recommended to me by other photographers and I was skeptical of their raves due to the low cost (ESPECIALLY since it includes a roll of seamless), but it has exceeded by expectations. As a nice bonus, the white seamless, which I was concerned about shooting with, often looks like a nice bone shade in the photos ans I am pleased with it as well. 5

[7.9 lb] I have to disagree with most of the negative reviews I saw. My kit came with instructions, but I did not need them as it was very intuitive to assemble. Likewise the bracket at the center post could be tightened down for security. This is much sturdier than my old backdrop stand. The flexibility of using two or three stands depending on needs is fantastic, as is the right angle option. Also, the bag the stand comes in allows for everything to be carried in a very compact size for easy storage and transport. I recommend this stand to anyone needing one. 5

[7.9 lb] Easy to deploy. Fast to break down. Holds any background without an issue. You can trust this background stand. Add some sand bags to your order to help stabilize it. This is not a weakness in this product, but something that you should have for any background stand.....and buy some gaffers tape while you are at it! Love that it comes with a bag because it makes toting this thing to location easier. 5
