A: I carry this unit as a backup plan - I've never actually tested it. From what I understand it is designed to go HDMI to VGA, not in reverse. My professional recommendation would be to do it properly...and pull an HDMI line in your ceiling.

A: It depends on the video in connection to Small HD that you are using. The BMPCC 4k has a full size HDMI connection, depending on the Small HD model being used, this cable MAY work; does the Small HD have a Micro HDMI connection?

[0.225 lb] Running from a Kanex 3xsource-1-display HDMI box (Kanex has never let me down yet) also bought here, to this, then 3.5mm goes to old Yamaha Receiver, while the VGA goes to an old BenQ projector for a low budge home theater. Perfect. 5

[0.225 lb] I have more server room gear coming in with HDMI and no more old-school VGA sockets. Same goes for all the desktops that we use in our lab. It connected perfectly and both my LX-units had no trouble seeing the gear. The only downside is that these pretty expensive for what they are. B&H has them at the best price and free, fast shipping to boot. 5

This one works on both my MacBook and on a late model Dell PC and other PCs that I have tried. I am not using the audio connection, but bought it for the potential High Res VGA output. 5
