Burris Optics 1-8x24 XTR II Riflescope Illuminated Reticlecombined state-of-the-art engineering with refinements for accuracy in the 1-8x24 XTR II Riflescope. The optical system offers bright and clear images, with high contrast and true colors, thanks to the indexed-matched multi-coated optics. To compensate for wind and ballistics you have adjustable windage and elevation and a 1/10 mil impact point correction. One of central features of the scope is the Illuminated Ballistic Circle Dot Reticle that is ideal for achieving accuracy with 5.56 and .223 ammunition. It is located in the first focal plane and allows you to estimate accurate ranges at any magnification, while giving both ballistic drop compensation out to 600 yards and windage reference points. The reticle features four tapered posts, illuminated circle, and an ultra-fine illuminated center dot. This pattern is designed to provide speed at low magnifications and precision at high magnifications.

Another definite highlight of this optic is the Modular Adjustment Dial (M.A.D.) System that allows you to choose from competition-style exposed knobs, capped knobs, or custom knobs on both windage and elevation adjustments in order to match precisely the trajectory of your ammunition.

The housing is made of lightweight and durable aluminum with corrosion-resistant anodized finish. It features a 34mm single-piece maintube for resistance to shock and recoil, a nitrogen fill for fog proofing, and O-rings for waterproof performance. The fast focus eyepiece's zoom ring and adjustment turrets and rings feature heavy knurling for improved tactile traction and non-slip operation in all weather conditions.

Q: 1. Does it extend flash range for like the beamer?

A: Yes it extends the flash's usable range while also narrowing the beam and concentrating it, producing very high contrast.

Q: 2. You said in the scope description that the scope has etched glass when I believe it has a wire crosshairs. Does it have etched glass or a wire crosshairs?

A: Second focal plane wire reticle

Q: 3. Does it have a dovetail mount? For my Vixen-103 telescope.

A: The Vixen Optics 7x50 Illuminated Finderscope does not have a dovetail and it is only compatible with a few specific Vixen telescopes.

          Q: 4. what is difference between FORTIS6 1-6x24 and AMPLUS6 1-6X24 ?

A: Sorry B&H has no information on the Fortis 6 presently. I did find a YouTube video on the product

Q: 5. This i9s supposed to be a scope for .450 Bushmaster, but all the specs are for .30-30. Which is right?

A: This is the information from the BSA website: https://bsaoptics.com/product/sweet-450-bushmaster-ao-3-9x40-new/

Q: 6. So, some of these come with a canted reticle? I guess what you mean by that is that when the scope is level (left-to-right) the reticle is not orthogonal to the horizon?

A: The Vortex 6-24x50 Diamondback Tactical Riflescope (EBR-2C MRAD Reticle) BH #VO624X50D • MFR #DBK-10029 The EBR in EBR-2C stands for Enhanced Battle Reticle. This reticle has been designed for maximizing long-distance shooting and ranging abilities. With EBR-2C reticle, hunters and shooters can effectively determine ranges, holdovers, windage corrections, and moving target leads.Jun 22, 2020. The MRAD Scope and Reticle. MRAD is short for milliradian. MRAD = milliradian = mil. An MRAD reticle is marked out in mils and fractions of mils to allow us to estimate the range of distant objects and quickly get on target. There are 6,283 mils in a geometric circle and 1 mil equals 3.438 MOA.

Q: 7. It is possible to ask Vixen to remove battery from scope so that it can be shipped to Singapore?

Q: 10. Hello, this reticle is the one whit a horseshoe?

A: For the Meopta 3-18x50 MeoPro Optika 6 RD FFP Riflescope (MRAD RD Reticle), just the center crosshair illuminates. However, because of the type of illumination system used, there is a bit of illumination behind the horseshoe at around 11 and 4 o’clock.

[Multicoated] I have a couple of these on some different AR style rifles. Both have been great and have held up real well. The reticle is nice and quick and uncluttered. It can be used illuminated or not, which is a nice feature.

[Aluminum] I’m running this on my SCAR 17S and have zero issues at 550 yards ringing 9x12 steel. Only reason I can’t say further distance is because I couldn’t get out any further. It’s a solid Optic with a superb eye relief and a great reticle.

[34 mm] Tracks true and is a solid scope. Heavy recoil doesn't bother it as well and the zero stop is a huge plus.

[1x CR2032] Bought this and it is a tough scope and I trust Burris. It is my go to for scopes

[1 to 8x] I purchased this 1-8x24 1st focal plane scope used but in excellent shape. Once zeroed in at 100 yards the tick marks will do the rest out to 400 yards (furthest I've shot with it). Very clear and sharp. The only problem I've seen is shooting at black colored steel at 400 yards in the shade - can't see the tick marks or X-hair, so you need to illuminate the center dot/X-hair and use Kentucky Windage. At 1X the reticle is extremely small for senior citizen eyesight but with higher magnification everything is just fine - using the illuminate dot will solve eyesight shortcomings.

If you're a senior citizen, you may find this scope to be on the heavy side - just bring along a grandson or a granddaughter.

This scope replaced my Aimpoint 2 moa red dot on the AR and I couldn't be more satisfied. When the coyotes don't like my set-up and sit at 400 to 600 yards out this coming winter - I don't think I'll miss as many as I did with the aimpoint.

[Aluminum] xtr ii 1-8 ffp. --I love this optic, nearly perfect features, it tracks well, it's tough and the picture is clear. The price is fantastic, overall this is one of the highest value optics out there. I have no real criticism. If I had to pick it apart, I would like one to two more illum settings for the brightest of Florida suns, a simple, mil crosshair reticle with the mils in FFP and the impact dot and donut in SFP. It is a little heavy. Like I said, that's asking a lot as this optic is fantastic! I will buy more of the xtr ii line due to my positive experience with this. Use: competition, target shooting. -prior service, combat vet.

[1x CR2032] I just bought this and went to the range and zeroed it and put 100 rounds through my M1A Scout Squad. The scope is spectacular, very clear, very robust, zero stop is a nice feature with positive clicks I could hear through ear plugs and muffs. The scope is heavy but it's heavy duty, it's hard to have light and strong at the same time. The reviewer who mentioned it being dumb to have turrets and a ballistic reticle must be using the exact bullet weights and barrel lengths of what it is designed for. The rest of us appreciate being able to add dope.

[2.65 lb] I just received the XTR II 1-8. The reticle is amazing, and the glass is very clear. The eye relief is plenty, as 8x magnification is more than enough for me. The illumination can be cranked up extremely bright and helps immensely with close quarter engagements. I'm still looking for something bad about this scope - just can't find anything...

[Multicoated] The build quality is excellent. Turrets are tactile as well as audible and very solid. the elevation turret comes exposed but has the option to capped (capped turret included). The windage turret comes capped from the factory, also very solid.
Glass quality according to my aging eyes is excellent, as good or better than my Bushell ERS. The only gripe I have is the 1X magnification which is not truly 1x but is comes very close, maybe 1.5, mind you I've never looked through a variable scope which is a true 1X.
Overall probably the best value for the price out there right now.
