[2] Very easy to install. Just make sure you get the right m.2 cards, Sata not Pci-e. I got the wrong ones first time around and was scratching my head wondering why the drives would not show up. Got the right ones and the caching is very fast. Transfer rates are great and make file transfers much quicker.

But B&H Does! with B&H help updating the NVR firmware = easy set up, I'm using another manufacture ONIF IP cameras. the android app works great for remote viewing. very easy camera manipulation with provided mouse.

[2] I have several - they work great. Easy to setup and maintenance is a snap. Fans are a little loud. The only complaint I have is they won't work with my new ANPR cameras.

[2] I have had 3 different NVRs. The other ones were from Geovision. Their first NVR worked well for about 6 years. The second one was thrown in the trash. The ENR-020P was relatively easy to configure, including the interface to other vendor's cameras. I had to play around with the encoding settings a little but this thing works. I like the UI. Keep in mind that I can't comment on reliability as I have only had it for a month or so - but I now have all my cameras displaying - which sometimes is a major problem if you have cameras from multiple vendors.

[2] I had an older/cheaper Hikvision 1TB NVR that didn't have the latest software or capabilities. This unit is much easier to use, especially when you're looking for a specific event. Initial setup was a breeze. I took the older 1TB hard drive and installed into this unit. Instantly recognized it. What I don't like about it - and I've seen/read this from other users...the cooling fan is LOUD. Luckily my unit is in a utility room (washer/dryer) and the noise doesn't bother us. I did have a minor setup issue recognizing my newer Hikvision cameras - B&H technical got Hikvision USA on the phone with me. I didn't have the latest firmware loaded. New firmware fixed the issue. I also have the newest Hikvision WiFi doorbell connected to it. I highly recommend this unit if you're wanting to have the latest tech, reasonable costs, and a more capable NVR.

Configuration was a breeze, but it must be done locally. That is, hook up the monitor and USB mouse directly. After that you can disconnect the monitor and the mouse and manage the unit headless by iVMS-4200 software installed on a PC or Mac on the local network. Or remotely, but to do that, the configuration is a bit more complex.

I use it with a mix of genuine US Hikvision cameras and cheap ONVIF-compatible cameras. I do not use the cloud, because I configured remote access.

Going from QNAP NAS to the Hikvision NVR was like a night and day experience. This is a rock solid NVR. Feature-rich, configurable, full time recording without skipping a beat, remote access and playback though the Hik Connect mobile app are just a few things to mention. The Hik Connect mobile app is also very good and easy to use, unlike most other Chinese-made apps that are buggy, filled with spelling errors in the UI. And YES, unlike the NXI Acusense model, the firmware in this model is regularly updated and email notifications work properly.

The unit is well built but it is loud. Unless you are are hearing impaired you will not be able to keep it in a living room, bedroom, or media room. It works for me because I keep it in a utility room.

[2] It is a bare bones, moved over a 6TB purple, unit formatted and initialized easily.  Had to get up and running quickly, First Hik product so had to install iVMS4200, and HikConnect on devices, at least 3 different username/password sets and not too clear on those descriptors. Used 3 IP POE hik cams, all plug and play. POE worked well.  Local monitor view and setup was excellent, wish there was better interface than a wired mouse, but at least I didnt have to repeat steps with that.  Did several reset, shutdown, and live disconnect and reconnection tests, unit rebooted fine. Good value for a DIY bundle.  Went with B&H to keep HIK usa distributor channel integrity for best support.
