Take your mobile entertainment on the road using this RAM Mounts Torque Handlebar Rail Base Kitfrom RAM MOUNTSM. This mounting system utilizes a B-sized 1" rubber ball base that accommodates bars 3/4 to 1" in diameter. Sizing inserts are included to provide a snug fit and offer additional protection for the rail. The mount utilizes nylon-insert locknuts to prevent loosening in high-vibration environments.

The included X-Grip cradle utilizes a four-leg design that affords it great holding power without hindering phone functionality. The spring-loaded X-Grip can safely hold phones 1.88 to 3.25" wide. It expands and contracts, allowing for a secure fit. The X-Grip also includes a device tether recommended for outdoor applications.

A: In order to fit into the cradle, the width of the tablet must be between 7.25 and 8.75.

Q: 8. will this clamp small, down to say clamping to a motorcycle / moped mirror?

A: I don't think so, it is designed for a handlebar tube, I'd say at least 5/8 thick. This is also a heavy piece, I don't think a mirror post would be strong enough to stand the vibration.

Q: 9. Does it fit a bicycle handlebar?

A: This would depend on the handlebar. If the diameter of your handlebar is between 1.57 - 3.15 , then yes.

[0.74 lb] Bought this base to mount on small bar near motorcycle instrument panel. Wanted to avoid unsightly U-clamp and exposed nuts of similar ram mount. Hidden allen bolts and captive nylock nuts make installation a bit easier, requiring only the supplied allen wrench and some tape (to keep the nuts from falling). Measure your bar size carefully. If the bar is slightly oval or a bit large, you may need to buy longer 8-32 bolts. 5
