Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I've read that photographers will use these poppers in conjunction with Nikon's $230 optical slave for better results, what say you?

A: The RadioPopper Nano Receiver is a radio wireless sync and does not work with an optical slave.

Q: 2. Can I still sync Nikon SB900/800 remote flashes thru the camera when using the Nano to fire them?

A: A RadioPopper Nano Transmitter B&H # RANANOT would need to be on the camera's hot shoe to fire any Nikon flash attached to a Nano Receiver off camera. You would not be able to use an on camera flash in conjunction with the Nano Transmitter.

Q: 3. Do you have EU version?

A: Unfortunately, we only offer this unit for use in the US under FCC guidelines.

Q: 4. Will this receiver work with an older rp transmitter? I lost one of the rp cubes but see that you dont make that model anymore.

A: Unfortunately no. I bought an older version of this thinking it will work with my RP JR2 setup (1 JR2 transmitted, 2 JR2 receivers). The older RP JR1 received did not sync or recognize the RP JR2 transmitter. Recommend by like for like in this case.

Q: 5. How can I connect it to Nikon dc-2 camera plug to remotely trigger the shutter?

A: You would connect a remote cable with the DC-2 connector to this receiver into the miniphone jack on the side of it. One such cable you can use is the Vello 3.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Nikon DC-2 Cameras, B&H # VERCCN235. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 6. Does this trigger work with the Canon r5?

A: Yes.

Q: 7. Hi. I would like to use this module with my SEKONIC L-558 light meter to trigger a Phottix wireless trigger system. Do you think it will trigger my Phottix wireless trigger system? Or this module it will work only with Pocket Wizard triggering system?

A: No, that module is only for the Sekonic L-758, L-358 & C-500R Meters. And it is designed to work with RadioPopper Nano and jrX Receivers. It is not compatible with Pocketwizards or Phottix.Sekonic just came out with a meter that is compatible with the Phottix system, Sekonic LiteMaster Pro L-478DR-U-PX.

Q: 8. Does this work with other applications as well - i.e. do the left and right keys function like the left and right cursor keys of the keyboard?

A: Compatible with PowerPoint and Keynote / Windows and Mac. Yes. The left and right arrow keys will function as those on a keyboard.(forward and back within the resentation)

Q: 9. How come there is a big difference in battery life specs between B&H and Radiopopper?B&H stated: Battery Life: Approx. 100 hours total power-on timeRadiopopper stated: Battery Life: Approx 8-10 Hours total power-on time

A: It is a web error and the batteries last on the receiver about 8-10 hours.

Q: 10. Any issues with this working with Sony a7rII?

A: Unable to answer. Using Canon equipment. So far excellent.

[16] I always manually set my speedlites so I wanted something reliable and with good range. These Made-in-the-USA triggers do the job and I don't worry about them not working during critical movements. Yes, you can save some money buying cheap Yongnou triggers, but if you're doing paid work, the peace of mind you get from this product is well worth the money you're saving.

[0.2 lb] I use RadioPopper's JrX system for multi-strobe setups in product lighting and real estate interiors, and remote lighting inside Ancestral Puebloan ruins. Control of strobe output power at the camera lets me change a shot's 'look' on the fly, without having to visit each flash individually. It's the main reason I use RadioPoppers over my old Pocket Wizards. The only problem is the 1/8 stereo cables between RPCubes and JrX receivers - they can give bad connections and unreliable triggering. They've always been one point of failure I wanted to remove. The Jr2 receiver eliminates the RPCubes and their cables. Now I have reliable triggering and no worries. The Jr2 receiver's 10-hour battery life isn't a problem either. I use multiple sets of rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries, and I figure if a real estate interior session lasts longer than three hours, I'm in trouble. Battery power for my strobes and the RadioPoppers runs out about the same time anyway. I simply make sure I charge all the batteries before a shoot. Highly recommended, along with the Jr2 transmitter.

[5.6 x 2 x 1.5"] There are flash triggers out there that have more features but I just needed a trigger for in a small studio to isolate the camera from the pack. So far it is very reliable. A good choice for cost to value.

[5.6 x 2 x 1.5"] I got it say I've looked at a lot of different things and but that they all suck these things are fantastic weather your transmitter or receiving you can't go wrong it's not TTL though but if you're really a photographer who the hell needs TTL
