I've had my monitor approx 2 1/2 years and the SDI Input stopped working. DF were fantastic, my unit was out of warranty & I'd modified the power supply but they were happy to repair it at no cost at all (bar shipping). The repair should've been $53 but they waved it due to the pandemic. I can't recommend them enough, service & updates were brilliant. I work in OB's & I'd be lost without it. This unit get worked hard & is incredible value for money. You won't see the Eye option on anything else in the market apart from a Phabrix which 4 times the price.
Buy one, it's a no brainer.

We are using this for a computer output (display port to HDMI, not included). The quality is very good for HD-SDI. We have used BlackMagic in the past but this is a very good product. We have two now and have had no issues. Our old BlackMagic devices have had power supplies go bad but not the Digital Forecast device.

The Trouble Shooter is a great asset. It is hard to find another unit that offers the same functionality and such a cool design. I debated purchasing the Neo instead but as I was researching portable monitors while on the job site, the client requested an analogue feed to be added to the press box. That’s what sold me on the Trouble Shooter vs the Neo, plus the built-in embedded. The jitter scope is my new favorite instrument and I have yet to find another portable monitor that offers the same, other than the Neo.

However, I wish there was a case or silicone bumpers that could be added to the unit. I love it so much, I want it to last! And, potentially, a wrist strap. As a technician sending signals to various destinations, there is a lot of walking and lift operation involved with the job and any sort of development in portability would make a great difference.

Either way, A+ awesome device.

The troubleshooter has been a great piece of test equipment that has been reliable in my travels all over the US.

Just a quick update on my unit.  Its been a great addition to my kit, and Im sure Ive convinced a handful of associates to pick one up.

I recently had an issue with intermittent hd-sdi input, where the unit would reboot itself.  The distributor was quick to answer my inquiry and turned around the repair within a week.

I was a little concerned because Digital Forecasts website is pretty bare when it comes to customer service - but B&H connected me with KameraTools - the US distributor and Heesung looked after me quickly!

Two thumbs up.

Just wished there was a silicone bumper/case for the unit.  I may try some baby coffee table silicone bumpers...

If youre looking for a good portable monitor that wont break the bank, this is for you. As a video engineer, Im always running 1-200 HDSDI cables and troubleshooting HDMI runs and other video needs. I was slightly hesitant in purchasing this since getting any information on it was practically impossible, but Im glad I went through with it. As far as resolutions, I have seen 1080p 29.97/59.94/60 and 1080i 29.97. It pretty much does everything that I need it to do for testing on my day to day in the field, especially when it is paired with the battery pack adapter (sold seperately). I opted for the one for the Canon, but you can get a Sony adapter as well. Other than the bottom right screw hole on the adapter hitting the fan guard, it fit perfectly (I just removed it from the adapter and added locktight on the remaining three).
As far as scopes go, I wasnt too pleased, but its not intended for that kind of work, so I cant really dog it. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can monitor any audio coming down the pipe, or in a pinch, you can use it as a audio de-embedder for HDSDI or HDMI (been there and it worked in a pinch).
The test patterns are solid and good to have built in, the touch screen is responsive and the fact that you can activly convert HDMI HDSDI and vise versa is another win.
Overall I am completely happy with this product and if you are on the fence about purchasing it, just do it, the return policy from B&H is hassle-free, but I doubt you will need it.

I've been using to help me as a tool to check signal and generate signal we use to adjust POV, check converts send and receive the signal very smart tool, one thing that we need to do is all time that you need to receive or send you need to go at the configuration and switch for what you need. The tool is really really good and the cost x benefit is amazing!!!

Digital Forecast Bridge X_TS V3 unit works very good. I had a slight issue of getting color bars (test signal) onto the HDMI output port. I contacted kameratools.com spoke to Technical Support and the issue was resolve successfully over on the phone in 2 minutes. it was just a menu setting issue. Now the unit can feed color bars to HDMI out connector.
