We use that for wear resistance.The BBGv2 in Titanium (color) is just anodized in a silver Titanium finish put on the arm. It's still Aluminum. The price is in violation of our sales policy. A: Yes, The BBX is Universal and will adjust to fit both standard DSLR's and Taller Bodies or Bodies with Grip. The only thing to be aware of is that when going into a vertical photo on taller cameras or cameras with grip the quick disconnect knob will be in the webbing of your thumb and first finger. This is only noticeable if you use the trigger button mounted on the battery or bottom side of taller bodied cameras. If you use a taller bodied camera or camera with grip all the time check out the ProMediaGear BBG. This design is specifically for those cameras and will not work with standard DSLR's. The disconnect feature is different on the BBG and won't interfere with any traditional shooting style.
