Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the screw on the top of this head fit a point-and-shoot camera? Or does it only fit a (D)SLR?

A: Yes, the screw on the top of this head will fit point and shoot cameras. It uses the industry standard 1/4 -20 thread size which is the size photo cameras use.

Q: 2. Can this be use with iFootage monopod ?

A: This has the standard 3/8"-16 mounting threads that most tripod and monopods use. While I am pretty certain most of the iFootage monopods come with a 1/4"-20 / 3/8"-16 spring-loaded mounting screw, if for any reason the screw is too small, you are able to simply use a bushing reducer for it to work on almost all systems.

Q: 3. Does this QR fit Really right Stuff plates?

A: No, it does not. The Manfrotto RC2 Quick Release Plate included with the Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head is only compatible with Manfrotto tripod heads that use their proprietary RC2 Quick Release system. It is not interchangeable or compatible with Really Right Stuff plates.

Q: 4. Can this head be used on the Manfrotto XPRO MPMXPROC4US Carbon Fiber Monopod? Thx

A: You may use this head on a Manfrotto XPRO MPMXPROC4US Monopod.

Q: 5. can handle Nikon D3 with 28-70mm D lens combination in portrait mode? ASAP

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head can handle the Nikon D3 with the 28-70mm D lens combination in "portrait mode".

Q: 6. Is this Manfrotto monopod head able to be screwed onto an Oben ACM-2400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod? Is the threading compatible?

A: Yes, the monopod and head are fully compatible with one another. They each feature a 3/8 -16 connection thread size.

Q: 7. Can the quick release head be rotated 90 degrees, so it can be used with an L-bracket and lens without a lens foot?

A: This head can be tilted 90 degress and works with a camera that has an L-bracket attached.

Q: 8. Can the quick release clamp fit using a ProMediaGear base plate ?

A: Yes, the VH-A30 can accept a ProMediaGear Base Plate.

Q: 9. Will this be compatible with 'MeFoto WalkAbout S Aluminimum' Monopod?

A: You would need a bushing adapter to make it work. You can use this one. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/769749-REG/Oben_OB_1039_3_8_16_to_1_4_20_Reducer.html

Q: 10. Can the clamp be turned 90º so arca plates are oriented left-to-right instead of front-to-back?

A: Yes. You may use a hex key to reposition the quick release clamp on the Oben VH-A30 Tilt Head so it may be rotated 90 degrees so the head may be used to tilt the camera left-to-right instead of front-to-back.

[Yes] Using with a Gitzo GM4552L monopod, Nikon Z9 and big glass, and couldn't be happier. I also own the Wimberley MH100 gimbal head, but don't use it much because I've never gotten comfortable with how it positions my camera and lens. Both heads are beautifully engineered and get the job done with excellence, but I find myself using this Pro Media Gear head much more frequently because of my comfort with the more conventional camera and lens positioning.

[Arca-Type] This tilt head, on a monopod, is functionally equivalent to a gimbal. Well, not quite, but close enough along with less bulk & weight.

[1.15 lb] When I was looking for a monopod tilt head I found the Oben V-R2 at a very reasonable price. So I checked out the reviews. Most of them were very good but several stated that the screw came loose and fell out. I ordered it anyway expecting to have to fix the problem after it arrived. To my surprise the screw was tight so I worked the daylights out of it and the screw was still tight and everything worked as it should. I then took it out to take pictures in a park. I put my camera on and off maybe fifty times or more. It never failed me. the screw that tightens the head worked well as I changed the tightness many times depending on how I was using my camera. Again I had no problems, I could lock my camera in any position and it stayed there. It is a beautifully made of metal that I believe will last for decades. It is easy to mount and remove the camera and when mounted it is locked very securely. This tilt head from B&H is a winner!

[13 oz / 378 g] works really well, Especially like being able to tilt the head to shoot vertically. The quick attachment piece is proprietary,I wish a had a second one. Other ones I have don't work with it. So i need to remember when I move the piece from a lens to a camera body. No big deal. The quick release works really well.

[25 lb / 11.3 kg] I purchased this tilt head to improve my monopod setup for binoculars for astronomy and birdwatching. It has no problem holding 10x42 or 10x50 binoculars in any orientation. Even when the binoculars are pointed up near the zenith, there's no slipping from the unbalanced load with this tilt head (unlike the very cheap ball head I was using before).

It's well built and seems to me like it will be extremely durable. It's quite light, so this is a great option for a travel setup. I definitely recommend this monopod head!

[Arca-Type] Works great. Love the quick mount locking action. Makes it really easy and quick to mount and remove camera. Just slide one side in and it flips to lock down securely.
