The DIGITAL FORECAST Bridge EX HH HDMI TO HD/SD-SDI Converter Module can be used for converting a HDMI signal into a standard SMPTE SDI signal. It can support formats up to 1080p60 and can export 2 SDI output signals from 1 HDMI input. The converter also allows you to set the output in a specific format. In addition, it also comes with a built-in scaler.

A: Manufacturer only specifies level monitoring for multiple channels. Audio monitoring may not be available beyond channels 1/2 from the earphone output.

Q: 10. What are the differences between this and the full-size Bridge X_TS, besides VGA and AES connectivity? Are the SDI/HDMI functions identical on the two units?

A: The main difference is that the mini is only compatible with HDMI/SDI while the full size includes VGA, AES, analog audio and others. The HDMI/SDI functions are identical on both units with the mini offering enhanced monitoring, allowing test pattern generation and measurement at the same time.

We use this product quite a bit for testing our camera systems and eventually needed some repairs done. The supplier fixed it in a quick and professional manner (we shipped it out on a Friday and received it back in working order two weeks later, cross country). I found out this converter very useful, it support not only Cross/Up/Down converter, but also Analog to Digital converter since they have a video composite input. However, there is no Composite output, which means there is no Digital to Analog converting. I saw the other review that someone think it's also support D to A, but not at all. 5

I've had this unit for a few months now. It delivers on all the features listed. Physically it is built well and feels solid. I wouldn't want to drop it though. I wish there was a silicon case or something for it to help absorb bumps. The software is functional. Screen response is a little hit or miss but once you know how to tap - it's fine, and there is a dial on the back which also steps through all on screen selections. I haven't needed support yet - but do wish they had a better presence and support type page for inquiries etc. This unit isn't cheap - so if I ever needed support, I want somewhere to turn to. And maybe look forward to software updates? Right now, it's just the Korean manufacturer site. But as someone out in the field who needs to troubleshoot signal flow - it's a great help and time saver (just being able to identify bad coax out in the field is a huge timesaver (crc error/jitter/eye...) 5
