So the rule of thumb is: Solid White boxes on the converter is the same as solid black boxes in the manual. I use 1080i59.94, so in my configuration, 1 is up, 2 and 3 are down and 4 is up. So that is 1, solid white, 2, boxed orange, 3, boxed orange and 4, solid white. In the manual, that would be 1, Solid black, 2, boxed black, 3, boxed black and 4, solid black. I hope that helps you.
