Featuring four 4.3" monitors in a 2 RU rack mountable chassis, the Wohler RM-2443WS-3G2 4.3" LCD Rack Monitor 3G-SDIenables confidence monitoring of multiple 3G/HD/SD-SDI or analog video sources, making it ideal for use in mobile trucks, news control rooms, duplication, and various post production applications. Each LCD screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 and dedicated BNC connectors that auto detect and accept 3G/HD/SD-SDI and composite video input signals. This RM-2443WS-3G2 model also offers a second video input connector for each LCD screen, letting you input two sources per display and switch between them.

For audio, each input is able to detect up to 8 of the 16 channels embedded in the SDI stream, with on-screen level metering letting you monitor each of the 8 channels. A headphone jack is also provided for audibly monitoring selected stereo channels. Additional features include selectable video waveform and vectorscope display, tally, time code, built-in color bars, and an intuitive on-screen configuration menu. Power is provided by an included AC power adapter.

Q: 7. I am shooting on a 4k Blackmagic Mini Ursa, and was wondering if this monitor supports 4k 60 frames viewing and 1080p 120fps viewing (not recording)? I don't know much about these field monitors or how to tell whether its compatible, only features I need are peaking for focusing and maybe crosshairs. Is there a way to tell if a monitor supports 4k UHD input and playback of higher framerates?

A: This monitor can handle 24-60FPS HD only. No 4K or 120FPS. Our understanding is when the camera shoots at windowed 120FPS HD and is then played back, it will play at the speed you are normally working in. That speed will be in the range of 24-60FPS and will play on this monitor. Played back at the slower speed will of course render the footage in slow motion.

Q: 8. I just picked up this unit from B&H today and I have a problem with the quality and fit of the LP-E6 battery plate.The plate is not manufactured to the correct width for smooth insert and removal of the Canon battery. It's pretty near impossible to slide the battery into the plate without whacking it in and out with a mallet. While I feel the monitor is made well, I am very disappointed in quality of the battery plate and wonder if there is a replacement available. I have noticed multiple reviews regarding this issue. Thank you from a B&H customer for over 25 years.

A: The model 663 is compatible with Canon 6D and comes with headphone jack and audio output .

Q: 10. Would this work for the sony a5100 camera?

A: Not 100% but as long as your camera has an HDMI connection or the other kind of connection this display connects via then you should be good. I would just chat with a pro video representative online here and they could tell you more accurately.

[SDI: 8-Channel] Best rack pullout monitor for camera engineering. The Datavideo one that costs twice the coin is terrible. It’s useless as a calibrated monitor and doesn’t have scopes built in like this one. The Lilliput also has the connections conveniently placed on the backplane, keeping wires out of the pulling mechanism. 5

[SDI: 8-Channel] I am an independent producer, shooter, editor, scriptwriter, etc. I shoot a great many interviews and have, as of late, been reducing the size and weight of the gear I have to lug around. For the last year, I have been lugging around a TV set I bought@. It was cheap and I really only needed it for positioning of the interviewee. I had to bring power blocks and stingers to run the TV set. Now, with this hot little monitor, I not only get great positioning, outstanding quality of image, and other features (some of which I don't use), it also runs forever on batteries. Before I purchased it, I read some of the reviews. I must say that I could find none of the problems other people say they had. I think most of those other reviewers preferred to open the package, turn everything on, and, then, when it wasn't exactly what they expected, tried to read the instructions. I read them first and the unit is great. I have compared it with other units that cost four times as much and I can't tell the difference. 5

[2 RU] This monitor worked great for use as an on-camera preview monitor. We used it with an SDI cable for a VariCam35 and the client and the camera operator was able to see the composed shot, which looked great on the screen. We had to use a different arm for the monitor, though, this only comes with a hot shoe mount, which we could not use on our camera. 5

[10 W] I bought 1 of these because of the price. When I got the monitor I was blown away by the picture quality for the price! After using it for sometime with out a hitch I bought another and am about to buy a 3rd one. I bought the first 2 from another company because B&H did not have it then. I'm happy to see that B&H carries it now. With this monitor don't be fooled by the listed resolution, the clarity is spot on HD! When your talking 7 the resolution is sharp enough to pull focus with. The manufacture list it as 1920 x 1080. The listed resolution is the actual resolution. The color is not spot on like the resolution is, its close but for the price that is the sacrifice. I found that tweaking the color hue and contrast on the monitor you can get it close to match the monitor built into our cameras. We set our cameras to the kelvin to match the light temperature so color accuracy is not hugely important to us. 5

[SDI: 8-Channel] I'm using this with a canon 6D and it make is so much easier to focus! You can trim the hue and contrast but I was missing focus without it and now, it's alway spot on! 5

[10 W] We use this as a simple HDMI preview monitor for an AJA ioXT unit, works great at 1080i. Well built and affordable plus it comes with an AC adapter not often included. 5

[SDI: 8-Channel] The monitor is solid and the price is right! The menus and setting sharpness, color, are not that difficult to navigate. I haven't seen anyone have problems setting it yet. I just can't wait until I have a moment to wire up, integrate it's tally. 5
