Q: 9. Will this work with the Sony FS7? In particular, will the iris control work? Thanks

A: The Acebil RM-S1 features zoom, focus and iris controls and is compatible with Sony and Canon LANC cameras. The Sony FS7 is LANC Compatible. While this device has not been specifically tested with the FS7 we believe it will work with the camera and it should allow you to control the iris.

A: I'm afraid not, this controller is for cameras that utilize the Sony and Canon LANC Protocol. The PXW-X200 utilizes the EX control system, it would not be compatible with this unit I'm afraid.

[2.66 lb] We ordered several of these tripod systems for use with a small venue and for electronic news gathering. They are perfect for use because they are strong, made out of appropriate materials for the task. These tripods are a great value.

[1x 20-Pin Input] I found a need for this device for several Canon XA-10's I recently ordered. These are AWESOME! Beside very smooth operations it looks very professional. I highly recommend this product.

[Focus Control] If there was one thing I was never crazy about on my HMC-40, it was the locations and functionality of the iris and focus controls. When using a tripod in particular, it is fairly difficult to use either. Not only that, but the iris becomes even harder to control if you use the view screen on the side. This controller made my life so much easier! The focus has a shorter throw to it, so I don't have to turn the giant ring on the front so many times, and can do it without reaching all the way to the front of the camera. Both controls on the remote do take a bit of practice, however, to know approximately how far to turn so you don't go too far. I may even try to figure out a way to use this when I shoot handheld, I like the feel so much! A must have for any tripod shooting though, I don't know how I ever lived without it before!

[1x 20-Pin Input] I use this tripod for about 5 to 8 hrs a day, in most case for 7 days per week. I love it . I have spent over $ 2000.00 on tripods , before, and I can honestly compare this tripod with other tripods that costed me 5x more than this one . I love the features on this tripod, the quality, the material the tripod is made off, and best of all the weight of the tripod. is very easy to carry around with me, and fast and easy to set it up. Shipping was awesome , fast... I recommend this tripod to a professional veteran, or if you are just starting . This is the Tripod for you .

[Focus Control] Of all the various zoom controllers I've used, this is still my favorite. Not to mention I've had this exact model for over 8 YEARS and it still works great even with all of the play it has developed through countless zooms in and out.

[Focus Control] Does what it is supposed to do, and appears sturdy, well made and reliable. I use this with a Panasonic HMC80 to control focus and iris when the camera is on a tripod. It makes it easier to concentrate on framing the shot without having to reach around the whole rig to operate the lens controls directly. It is especially useful in conjunction with the VariZoom remote zoom controller (which I have mounted on the other tripod handle). It is not quite as easy to operate ergonomically as the old-style flexible-shaft focus remotes on studio cameras, but there's no mechanical backlash, and this electronic approach is much cheaper and more compact.

[2.66 lb] Im using this on a Fujinon Cabrio 20-120 PL lens and it works great. Interesting thing is that the Acebil box says its made in Japan (not China), yet its less than half the price of the equivalent Fujinon unit. Im curious if its just a rebranded Fujinon part?
