Q: 1. Will the Microphone Madness MM-MSLM Omnidirectional MatchStick Lapel Microphone fit in here? If not, anyone know of something like this that will work?

A: Unfortunately, the Microphone Madness MM-MSLM's diameter is about 3.0mm, 1mm less than that of the Sanken Cos-11 and most microphones. The fit may be a bit loose. Currently, there isn't a known universal mount like the Sanken RM-11Bk that will fit the MM-MSLM lavalier.

Q: 2. How do you mount these onto human skin or clothing. Two way tape?

A: The mount can be taped to the inside of clothing, with the mic head sitting on the shelf inside protected. You can adhere it to skin with medical tape, and place a piece of moleskin on the skin to avoid rubbing sounds.

Q: 3. Can you put a 3.5mm end on this mic?

A: The Sanken CUB-01 Boundary Microphone could theoretically be terminated in a 3.5mm TRS connector. Just keep in mind the power requirement of 3 to 10 VDC.

Q: 4. Will this work for the Sennheiser MKH8060 or is there a better choice for that?

A: The Rycote Standard Hole Classic Softie Wind-Screen (BH #RYS12M) is a better option for the Sennheiser MKH 8060.

Q: 5. Does anyone know the name of the replacement elastic bands? Or the size of the elastic bands? Thank you for your help!

A: While we don't sell the replacement bands separately, we do recommend either reaching out to the manufacturer at smallrig@smallrig.com, or looking to purchase a new mount, such as B&H # AUDUSM1.

Q: 6. Will a Sennheiser MKE 2 fit in these?

A: It's a tight fit but I can verify that it works. Be aware that if you leave the MKE in there for an extended period of time, the RM-11 will stretch. Which is fine if you only have MKEs, but it can become too loose for Sanken COS mics.

Q: 7. Hi, will a Sony ECM 674 fit on this mount? Thx.

A: Yes it will fit fine.

Q: 8. Will this work with the Rode VideoMicro?

A: The Rode VideoMicro should fit inside the SmallRig 1859 shockmount when used without the windshield.

Q: 9. Can fit the SENNHEISER ME2 in these?

A: Yes, but it's a really snug fit. It was difficult to get out at the end of the day.

Q: 10. Does this have any latex in it?

A: Yes, the Sanken Rubber Mount for COS-11S Microphone RM-11 does contain latex.

[6 x 5.5 x 2.5"] I had one Sanken CS-2 and two Rhodes. The Sanken is so clear it does not mix well with the Rhodes so I bought a second. Best mic I have ever used. I use it as a second channel to give me redundancy. 5

[0.25 lb] These mounts work great for other lav mics, like my Sennheiser MKE2 mics. Helps to get rid of any clothing or body noise. Wonderful. 5

[0.25 lb] I my typical work environment is usually sound mixing from indie short films to corporate shoots. I needed a decent upgrade and, dayumn, this mic was a great medium!! It captures VERY natural sound when it comes to dialogue. Picking up on sounds for field recording and ambience is a plus as well, even though it's a short shotgun it does carry across a pretty decent distance. Side and rear rejection isn't all too bad, better than what you'd get with an average under 1k mic. Nice and rugged, compact build. No disappointments here! Worth the investment, especially when you're looking to meet near other expensiv-O shotgun mic w/o your pocket hating your guts for overbearing it's limits ;) 5
