With the Blackmagic DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K | HDMI Outputfrom Blackmagic DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K | HDMI Outputyou can play out 4K content to high-resolution monitors and recorders in real-time from your compatible edit system. A 6G-SDI (backward compatible with SD, HD, and 3G variants) and HDMI 2.0 terminals are on the output panel of the card, so you can connect to professional broadcast equipment and displays or consumer monitors and televisions, respectively.
Consumer and professional video codecs are supported, including H.264, Apple ProRes, AVC-Intra, and more, allowing full-resolution output of nearly any project. Wide software support including Blackmagic Design's own DaVinci Resolve and Fusion in addition to other popular platforms such as Apple's Final Cut Pro X, Avid's Media Composer, and Adobe's Premiere and After Effects CC, allows for the same hardware to be used with changing workflows over time.
The card itself requires an open PCI-Express slot conforming to at least PCI-E 2.0 x4 specifications. PCI-E x8 and x16 slots in 2.0 and 3.0 variants can also be used. A full-height bracket comes pre-installed, and a low-profile bracket is included for installation in a small form-factor PC or an external chassis.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this card work on AMD Ryzen 1700, GTX 1050 gpu, build system for editing with resolve and premiere pro without issues.
A: Yes, it is only dependent on your motherboard actually (given you have a compatible operating system). You need to have a pci-express slot available.
Q: 2. Other than the SDI output (which I don't need), is there any reason to use this over the Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K with Resolve for monitoring the timeline to an external monitor?
A: I don't know about the other card you mention, but this one works for 4K/30/HDR - note that it won't do 60Hz unless you drop to 1080P, in which case you can still do 1080P/60/HDR.
Q: 3. Will this card compatible for edius pro 9?
A: According to the Blackmagic website, they do show that this card works with Grass Valley Edius. The Grass Valley website also claims support for Blackmagic hardware but doesnt specify which hardware.
Q: 4. Will this allow me to output to an 8-bit HDMI 2560x1080 monitor?
A: Yes, according to BlackMagic Design’s website, the HDMI should be able to support 8-bit 2K output: HDMI Color Precision Up to 12-bit (Deep Color)
Q: 5. Will this card display a HD tv & HD monitor with hd footage?
A: Yes.
Q: 6. Can I video preview Samsung full hd tv during editing?
A: With Premiere and Resolve you can. I can't speak for any other editing platforms.
Q: 7. Will this allow me to color grade HDR in Resolve through the HDMI to my HDR TV? Will I run into an important limitation that I should just upgrade to the next level?Windows 10TV - P65-C1
A: Yes. I use this exact card for HDR grading over the HDMI link. Note however, while my project is setup as 4K/59.94/10bit HDR, the output via this card is exactly half that (because it's limited to 4K/30), so I get 4K/29/97/10bit HDR to the grading monitor - this works perfectly well by skipping exactly every other frame on the grading monitor. The EOTF-2084 data gets through correctly, so the HDR luminance is correctly rendered to a HDR display. However, the thing to be aware of, the color space metadata is NOT sent by the card. Thus, to get the color correct you need to be able to set the color by the OSD on the monitor. I have used these cards with both Asus PA32UCX monitors, these work well and have a lot of color mode settings via the OSD to easily match to the color space you're using in Resolve and also the Asus PG27UQ, this can only be set to sRGB or "Wide Color" which is "Native Panel Gamut" this works as a good setting when you set the Resolve project to BT.2020. Note, with the PG27UQ you can't set the color space when in HDR mode, however, if you set the color space to "Wide" in SDR mode it carries over to HDR mode.
Q: 8. Could this be used to record the program output of Livestreaming software like Wirecast or Livestream Studio?
A: I dont think so, if i recall right it is a playback card only and this model is not equipped with capture features.
Q: 9. Does this work with apple silicon?
A: Yes, the Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K works with Apple silicon as well as intel based Macs.
Q: 10. If I had 2 of these cards in my computer, would I be able to output 1080p from one card and 4K from the other while editing?
A: The Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K can output at two different resolutions, so long as the software you are using to send the signals supports such a set up.
