Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these connectors work on other optech straps?

A: The Op/TECH connections on most of the straps they work together. But there are a few that do not.

Q: 2. Could you remove the metal clips on the ends and replace with the Really Right Stuff QD strap swivel (low profile)?

A: The metal clips on the end of the OP/TECH USA Mini S.O.S. Strap (Black) cannot be removed and replaced.

Q: 3. Will the loop string fit though the tiny eyelet for a Sony RX100vi?

A: Yes, the string on the OP/TECH USA Wrist Strap for Mirrorless and Small SLR Cameras (Black) fits through the hook for the strap on the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VI Digital Camera if you are not using the strap adapter.

Q: 4. How is the wrist strap adjusted?

A: There is a little plastic thing that slides up and down to loosen or tighten the wrist loop. I like it because I can pass the strap under my belt that lets the camera hang by my thigh

Q: 5. B&H # OPSSOSB MFR # 901012 What is the overall length of this strap, minimum to maximum?

A: The strap should accommodate all size hands as the strap is adjustable at both ends. It's roughly 13 inches end to end, but I didn't want to undo it from my camera so this is approximate. I have thin fingers/hand and after adjusting it to a snug fit, there is 2 inches of strap left over at either end. BTW I love this thing. I leave it on all the time. I have an around the neck strap that uses snap connectors (which also stay on the camera), but I leave the strap in the bag most of the time. If you need to be mobile (such as street photography, sports or photojournalism style) this is great. The camera just becomes an extension of your arm.

Q: 6. Is this real leather? I'd prefer PU or vinyl.

A: The OP/TECH USA Wrist Strap for Mirrorless and Small SLR Cameras (Steel) is a neoprene strap.

Q: 7. How robust is the actual loop that attaches to the camera lug? Could it wear through and break?

A: The nylon cord used in the Mini QD Loops is very sturdy. One note, it is important that, on cameras with lugs designed for use with split rings, you use a split ring so there is no risk of damage to the strap from being cut by sharp edges or burrs in the lug as these connection points are typically not de-burred as precisely as other connectors. Recommended load on this strap is up to 2.5 lbs. for maximum comfort. It is always a good idea to check your strap and connectors when you periodically check all of your gear for signs of wear and tear.

Q: 8. Would this strap work for Bronica S2?

A: No. The following unit uses design B connectors and will not adapt to the camera. Please review the following strap that will better suit your camera OP/TECH USA E-Z Comfort Strap (Black) BH #OPSEZCB • MFR #2701252 https://bhpho.to/3678oJH

Q: 9. Does this fit an SLR with a battery grip installed?

A: Yes it would because the strap is long enough to allow adjustment needed.

Q: 10. Will this strap affect the use of an L-bracket on the camera?

A: You can still use the E-Z Grip Strap when using an L-bracket; however, you wouldn't need the base plate that comes with the E-Z Grip Strap since the tripod mount area is being used to attach your L-bracket. Instead, you would need to be able to attach the 3/8" webbing of the E-Z Grip Strap to your L-Bracket. As long as you have an area on your L-bracket to attach this webbing, you should still be able to configure the E-Z Grip Strap to work with your set up. I hope that this is helpful. All the best!

[8 x 3 x 1.1"] Tried more than three shoulder straps, and finally put all of them back in camera bag. Easy and safe way to carry a camera. The only problem is forgetting it on my wrist when I get in a hurry. Can't beat the price.

[0.095 lb] This strap is the latest addition for my OP/TECH system. The Uni-Loops are permanently fixed to my cameras for easy attachment to a variety of straps. Everything about these straps is solid and secure. The Gotcha strap is no exception. At first, I didn't trust the Velcro that wraps around the wrist, but it too is solid and secure. Easy to recommend Op/Tech.

[Neoprene] I love these things -- I have Op/Tech loop attachment points on all my cameras so straps are all interchangeable, but I ALWAYS have one of these on cameras and bodies when not using a neck strap. Just trust me -- it's a really good idea. I have to detach it when shooting downward on a tripod so it won't dangle into the frame, but that's what the nice snappy clasps are for.

[Yes] I leave these straps on both of my DSLRs all the time so that I can still hold the cameras securely when I remove them from their shoulder harnesses.

[Black] Much less obtrusive than a neck strap. I keep this on my camera when traveling and more than once it has kept me from losing my camera over the side of a boat, off a balcony, etc. Modular so you can swap with the sling strap or other OP/TECH products.

[Neoprene] I use this on my NikonD51 almost all the time. Unless I'm hiking or whenever I need 2 hands free.
