This QNAP 3.5" & 2.5" Drive Tray for ES NAS Seriesfrom QNAP 3.5" & 2.5" Drive Tray for ES NAS Seriesis designed for the ES Series of NAS enclosures, such as the ES1640dc. It supports 3.5" hard drives using four included silver flathead machine screws, or 2.5" hard drives and SSDs using four black flathead machine screws.

A: This version is 7200 RPM. Seagate makes similar drives which work at 5900 RPM but this one is definitely a 7200 RPM model.

Q: 5. We bought 2 and RAID 0 on Synology DS218+. Everytime when there's read/write actions, the drives make an old harddrive noise. anyone has same issue? Dont know if it's a sign of defective. Opon RAID, we ran the diskcheck on Synologyh software. Nothing broke is found though. Just very noisy...scary...

A: This is ST4000VN008, the vendor/ manufacturer did a special sku (looks like retail package) for retailers like B&H. The drive would be the same

Q: 10. If anyone is using these in a Drobo do you find them loud or noisy? I bought the Exos drives and think I may need to return...they are really chattering a lot.

A: I have three of these in a Drobo 810N and they're as quiet as my 8GB, 6GB and 4GB drives. It could be you got a bad drive or two. I wish Drobo had a safety mode to allow us to pull out as many drives as needed to isolate which drive is bad since Drobo Dashboard isn't so great at detecting noisy drives.

[1x 2.5" or 3.5"] HDD tray was the exact match for the broken unit. Customer service by B&H service personel was well beyond what was standard. Although parts were not in stock and were on backorder. They staff kept me advised as to when I might expect delivery. When stock did arrive they were quick to ensure order was dispatched. Would highly recommend both the product and the supplier as well. 5

[1x 2.5" or 3.5"] The drive tray on my QNAP 1282T broke. This was easy to replace, shut down QNAP, remove, replace drive and put it back in. That’s it. No tools required. 5

[1x 2.5" or 3.5"] Bought this to replace one of the trays in my QNAP TVS1282T. Installation was simple, shutdown QNAP, pop out the broken tray, transfer the drive to the new tray and pop it back. Done. Thanks QNAP for making the process simple. 5

[1x 2.5" or 3.5"] Using 4 of these drive adapters to upgrade the RAID1 arrays to SSD in my HP workstation. The aluminum makes a great heat sink for the SSD drives. Easy to install and fit great replacing 3.5 drives. 5
