Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What binder do these fit well in? The largest Avery has the sides stick out.

A: We recommend the Besfile Archival Binder with Rings (Black), B&H # BEBAR • MFR # B-9051, for use with the Print File Archival Storage Page for Negatives, 35mm, 6-Strips of 6-Frames (Hanger or Binder) - 100 Pack.

Q: 2. Will this sleeve fit in the Besfile Archival Binder (BH item# BEBARG)?

A: Yes, the pages measure 9.5" x 11.6" and the Besfile binder accommodates pages that are 10.3" x 11.6".

Q: 3. Will the negatives stick to the sleeve in humid weather?

A: The negatives will not stick to the sleeves in humid weather. Use a dehumidifier if needed :https://bhpho.to/2YlWPFn

Q: 4. What binder can hold these sleeves? Thanks

A: I'm using a standard three-ring binder I bought at an office store. The archival sleeves come with several different hole patterns, so they fit most any binder.

Q: 5. I have had problems with 35mm slide pages , years ago, where the emulsion would stick to the page. Does this type prevent that?

A: I have not had that problem with these pages. I keep my slides in a room that is usually 70 degrees F with an air conditioner to keep humidity down in summer, so that may help. These pages are specifically designed to be archival, however, so unless you subject them to unusually harsh treatment they should not cause any sticking. I have been using them for over 25 years.

Q: 6. Will these fit in the archival (plastic box-type) binders?

A: Yes.

Q: 7. What are the sleeves made of?

A: Based on Google, they are made of Polyethylene which has been proven safe for long periods of time. They also have no PVC in them. I've been using them for years with no issues.

Q: 8. If you pick up the Binder by the Spleen will all the Negatives fall out of the Sleeve?

A: If you pick it up by the ring side of the sleeve the negatives might fall out.

Q: 9. Can I contact print directly to 8" x 10" paper so that all negatives fit to the sheet? I understand the pocket will hold up to 8.5" x 11" contact sheet, but want to be sure the negatives, in the holder, allow contact printing to an 8" x 10" sheet.

A: Yes you may contact print on an 8 x10" sheet of photographic paper.

Q: 10. Can you put negatives on both sides of the page or only the front ? I am trying to figure out how many negatives can be stored on the 25 pages so I will know how many to order. Thanks!

A: No, you should only put one strip of negatives in the individual sleeve. If you put 2 they will rub against each other and destroy the emulsion. Also if you did put 2 you can't see the negative properly.

[Polypropylene] Discovered Print Files slide pages back in the 1980's. The pages and slides stored in them since then still look brand new. Easy to put slides in, easy to remove slides. Never worry about my slides in these pages. Other plastic slide pages get hard over time or try to stick to the slides. Not these, which is why I still use them and still buy more of them.

[2.53 lb] I've been using these slide pages for well over a decade. With the optional Hanger Bars over 20 years of professional editorial shooting is archived in these pages in filing cabinets. It's the best way, still. to edit and file slides in this digital world. The inert plastic and the crystal clear panes make for easy viewing and protect the slides from the loupe.

[Polypropylene] I absolutely love these storage pages. They are great!!! Now B&H needs to find a binder that these fit in. The binders they offer need to be at least 1/4 inch wider so that pages don't mound up in the middle. So 5 stars for the archival storage pages and 1 star for the binders associated on the B&H website with the storage pages. Hopefully B&H will find a binder that works a lot better with the storage pages.
