A: I've had some left outside in both hot and cold weather. I would NEVER install while the cartridge is icy cold. Wait until it slowly warms up to room temperature (wait a day). Give it a little extra agitation (shake it so you are sure it's mixed - which you should do anyway as part of Canon's recommendation).

A: Yes. As the smaller tanks ran out I added the larger ones. I still have one small left. There doesn't seem to be any issue with the different sizes. in

A: Inks usually have a 2 year shelf life from manufacture date if still sealed. once open it's recommended to use within 6 months or latest 1 year.

A: Sorry, there is really no sure way to tell. I purchased this for our Plotter in the Engineering Dept. We are still trying to get a handle on how frequently they run through the cartridge. Sometimes they print in only black and other times they are using color. The paper is not always the same size as it is on a roll and cuts when the print is done.

It uses only a small amount of ink to do that, and that process does keep the ink fresh and usable indefinitely.
