Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the screw stainless, aluminum or brass?

A: The SeaLife Adapter for GoPro Camera' screw is aluminum.

Q: 2. Does anyone know if this will fit in an aquatech elite housing for d750? I just need something to secure my camera.

A: Unfortunately, the SeaLife Ikelite Camera Housing Adapter for Flex-Connect Trays won't fit a housing for DSLR. It is made for small point and shoot housings.

Q: 3. Will this work with an RX100 that has one of Sony's own stick-on hand-grips attached to the front?

A: You cannot put a RX100 camera with the hand grip in the Sony Underwater Housing for RX100-Series Cameras.

Q: 4. Does this work with the GH4?

A: No, the Nimar Base Water Sports Camera Housing with Pistol Grip is not compatible with the Panasonic GH4.

Q: 5. What is the buoyancy of the housing with camera loaded. Does it require additional weights to become neutral similar to Canon ones?

A: I upgraded from a SeaLife and had the arm and video light attachment. Using this device with the Sony, is the perfect bouncy.

Q: 6. What is the proper size for a replacement o-ring?

A: I can confirm a JIS G120 o-ring is the correct size replacement for this housing. I purchased a bunch of these o-rings to use with this housing for a recent dive trip. The o-rings are visually identical (aside from sony's grey coloring) to the stock seal. I had 14 successful dives with no leaking or weeping. Buna-N is sufficient if you go this route, along with standard silicon o-ring lubricant.

Q: 7. Will this work with the new RX100 VI?

A: I just received mine with a new RX100VI. It will work, but there are a few issues from what I can tell. First, the LCD doesn't line up quite right and you can't see the right few millimeters (not a big deal). Second, you have to make sure not to zoom past 70mm or the lens hits the housing and the camera then asks you to power down and then power back up to reset the zoom. So far this doesn't seem like a big issue, but I haven't used it underwater yet and I'm not sure how much of a nuisance this will be. (I have to amend my last post on this because I mentioned that the power button wasn't usable when the camera was in the housing. I was wrong, I just had it set up improperly.)

Q: 8. What type of memory card should be used?

A: The SeaLife Micro 3.0 Digital Underwater Camera offers a Internal Memory of 64GB only.

Q: 9. Does this have a strap?

A: The SeaLife Micro 3.0 Digital Underwater Camera comes with the SL50102 Wrist Strap.

Q: 10. Can this camera shoot in manuel mode? can i control my aperture and shutter speed?

A: No, SeaLife Micro 3.0 Digital Underwater Camera does not offer a manual mode or aperture priority mode to control exposure settings. You can only select between five different automatic scenes (Land, Sports/Action, Dive, Snorkel, External light).

[Front] Sealife has an adapter for everything. We love Sealife products. WE have their underwater cameras, the 2000 and 2500 lum lights and adapters. Very reliable and durable equipment.

[Front] If you are looking for an easy to use and no maintenance underwater point and shoot camera, this is the one. It's solid like a rock but feel comfortable in hand. It's fixed focus so no more struggles for focusing the right target. The snorkeling white balance preset generated quite accurate colors. And the picture quality is very good. It's easy to mount on a monopod to extend the reach for video. All in all it's an excellent travel underwater camera that can generate good results yet adding minimal load to your luggage. The attached photos are frame grab from the HD videos (about 2MB resolution). It's far from the normal single shot picture quality so this is for reference only.

[Front] I have used this when it rains. I am going to shoot with this in the water when I travel to the Dominican Republic! But I've used it for Land photos and the quality is fantastic. I'm too embarrassed about my shots to show the land photos.

[Proprietary] This is my first experience with an underwater camera. I am glad I chose SeaLife. Oh I got the camera in the mail the morning that I left for about an hour and played around with the various controls while I was on the airplane.

This camera is incredibly user-friendly and takes terrific pictures. Most of my diving on this trip was between 30 and 60 feet. Using the "Dive" mode, the automatic filtering system for correct in the colors worked remarkably well. In fact, when I used an external light in dive mode, the pictures were not as good. (There is a separate mode for "external light.") I highly recommend this camera, especially if you are a novice like me.
