The black Electro-Voice EKX-12 12" Two-Way Loudspeaker Blackfrom Electro-Voice EKX-12 12" Two-Way Loudspeaker Blackcomes housed in a robust and compact wood enclosure with durable EVCoat finish. The Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide design provides precise coverage and good sound quality at high SPLs. The 12" EVS-12M woofer, coupled with a DH-1M 1" titanium compression driver, allows the EKX-12 2-way loudspeaker to deliver SPL of up to 131 dB. It is suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement scenarios including musicians/DJs and live/club/installed sound applications.

A: The Electro-Voice EVM12L Classic 12 is the Classic 12. It is not the Zakk Wylde signature version. The Black Label simply is to convey that it is EVs high performance line. The only way you can tell the difference aside from the price, is the manufacturers part number. The Zakk Wylde version # F.01U.273.861 ends in the number 1 and the Classic 12 is # F.01U.273.862 ends in a 2.

[44.28 lb] Needed a portable PA setup for our library programming needs. We do a lot of programs out in wide open spaces like our front lawn and parking lots, so we needed a setup that would accommodate. Enter the EV ZLX 12 connected to a R0DE Wireless Go 2! Not only does it serve the purpose, but handles it with ease making it simple for staff to setup without the help of I.T. Staff report that it's plenty loud (only half volume), but clear too! Ours is going on nearly 3 years strong, & 2 drops from 3 feet high! These are tanks, and will serve the purpose long after we think to replace it. Also B&H Photo are rockstars in getting it us quickly, and in one piece! 5

[Dual NL4] Really natural sounding speaker in a tough but lightweight cabinet. Versatli can be a floor wedge, stuck on a stick or flown with the optional eyebolts or mounting bracket. 5

[1.6 kHz] This is an amazing loudspeaker. It's well-built, rugged and easy to handle. We purchased this to replace a speaker in a school gym; the sound quality and clarity and unmatched. Be aware of the connecter ports look similar to XLRs, but are in fact Speakon NL4FC Ports; they can be easily refitted with XLR is needed. 5

[Dual NL4] I've been a JBL person for many years, but I must say that putting this speaker next to my JBl JRX112M (the same speaker configuration), blew me away. I never thought JBL could be surpassed. I was wrong. This EV speaker did it. As a pro musician for many years, I rate this at the top 3 speakers in it's class, if not the top of the heap. I love the light weight for transporting, as I have to move my equipment 5 nights per week in Las Vegas. The sound reproduction is great. It actually put out more volume at the same mixer setting than the JBL. There are two things I would like to see changed. The handles should be on top (as the JBL), not on the sides. This will make the speaker easier to grab and load into a vehicle, instead of bending over and reaching for the handle on the side. Another change I would like to see, is that the cabinet would have both Speakon and 1/4 inputs, as some mixers don't have Speakon outputs, therefore requiring you to buy an adaptor. The JBL has both Speakon and 1/4 inputs. Otherwise, this speaker is an excellent choice... 5

[Dual NL4] This speaker tells the quality by itself. It really saves a lot of time on EQ setup. Just hook up the amplifier and sound beautiful. 5
