The Tour X Series 12" Two-Way Full-Range Floor Monitor from Electro-Voice is designed for small to medium-sized stages where high-quality vocal and instrument applications are required in a lightweight package. It features a low-distortion 12" SMX2121 woofer and a 1.25" DH3/2010A titanium high-frequency compression driver. The enclosure utilizes Signal Synchronized Transducers, a design that aligns the woofer and compression driver by locating them on separate baffles, and integrates a low distortion port between the baffles.

The internally braced enclosure of the speaker is constructed out of a combination of plywood and MDF, and coated with EVCoat for maximum strength and durability. Multi-grip handles allow for easy transportation. The recessed input panel with dual NL4 parallel connectors is located on the rear of the enclosure, which keeps the connectors hidden and away from the performers on stage.

A: i use a crown xls 1500 and it seems to be properly sized. i also use distribution amplifiers to control a rack of amps, ie. another 2 crowns for fhe subwoofer, more evids, other locations, etc.

[99 dB] This is an amazing loudspeaker. It's well-built, rugged and easy to handle. We purchased this to replace a speaker in a school gym; the sound quality and clarity and unmatched. Be aware of the connecter ports look similar to XLRs, but are in fact Speakon NL4FC Ports; they can be easily refitted with XLR is needed. 5

[99 dB] I run a system in my church and currently own 6 of this speakers. 2 are elevated main for Highs and mid on 2000 watt amps and a driverack. The other 4 are stage monitors 2 on 1000 w amps and 2 on 2000 watt amps all the ones that are use for monitors are running in full range. They have awesome High and mid, and for the size the low is not bad at all. Great response when used with a drive rack or crossover. Really light and really heavy duty. Would recommend to anyone. 5

[50 lb] Needed a portable PA setup for our library programming needs. We do a lot of programs out in wide open spaces like our front lawn and parking lots, so we needed a setup that would accommodate. Enter the EV ZLX 12 connected to a R0DE Wireless Go 2! Not only does it serve the purpose, but handles it with ease making it simple for staff to setup without the help of I.T. Staff report that it's plenty loud (only half volume), but clear too! Ours is going on nearly 3 years strong, & 2 drops from 3 feet high! These are tanks, and will serve the purpose long after we think to replace it. Also B&H Photo are rockstars in getting it us quickly, and in one piece! 5

[99 dB] This speaker tells the quality by itself. It really saves a lot of time on EQ setup. Just hook up the amplifier and sound beautiful. 5

[2x Side] I've been a JBL person for many years, but I must say that putting this speaker next to my JBl JRX112M (the same speaker configuration), blew me away. I never thought JBL could be surpassed. I was wrong. This EV speaker did it. As a pro musician for many years, I rate this at the top 3 speakers in it's class, if not the top of the heap. I love the light weight for transporting, as I have to move my equipment 5 nights per week in Las Vegas. The sound reproduction is great. It actually put out more volume at the same mixer setting than the JBL. There are two things I would like to see changed. The handles should be on top (as the JBL), not on the sides. This will make the speaker easier to grab and load into a vehicle, instead of bending over and reaching for the handle on the side. Another change I would like to see, is that the cabinet would have both Speakon and 1/4 inputs, as some mixers don't have Speakon outputs, therefore requiring you to buy an adaptor. The JBL has both Speakon and 1/4 inputs. Otherwise, this speaker is an excellent choice... 5

[50 lb] Really natural sounding speaker in a tough but lightweight cabinet. Versatli can be a floor wedge, stuck on a stick or flown with the optional eyebolts or mounting bracket. 5
