Sporting silver HDD handles, the iStarUSA 4 RU 12-Bay Stylish Storage Server Trayless Rackmountable Chassis Kit is designed for storing up to twelve 3.5" Hotswap HDDs. It features SAS I/II & SATA I/II/III interfaces.

This D Storm Series chassis supports up to 12 x 13" E-ATX, ATX, or micro-ATX motherboards in addition to up to seven full-length and full-height add-on cards and a total capacity of up to 12 storage drives for RAID configuration. Two 120mm cooling fans on the sides provide adequate ventilation to prevent critical equipment from heat damage. It provides server or cluster configuration with maximum reliability and performance.

A: The Gator Rack Rail for 12 RU Rackmount Cases (Pair) do not come with any included accessories such as spacers.

Q: 5. How many RU space does this take?

A: thank you for your question. This will take up 12 rack spaces with the mixer installed.

Q: 6. How many rack spaces does it take?

A: The Mackie Onyx12 Mixer requires 8 rack spaces.

Q: 7. what is the maximum cooler height?

A: CPU cooler maximum height is about 2.5 inches.

Q: 8. Is this a single rack rail or a pair of rack rails?

Q: 9. How noisy is the fan and does it run continuously or only when hot?

A: Buffalo has not provided a spec for the ambient noise level of the TeraStation Essentials 4-Bay NAS Array, nor information on fan programming. Customers have reported that fan speed can be managed via the Buffalo NAS OS.

Q: 10. WIll I be able to remove the rack and replace it with DVD drives?

A: The iStarUSA Compact Stylish 3x 3.5" Hotswap Trayless mini-ITX Tower has 3.5" bays. DVD drives would not fit.

[ATX] I needed to patch 500 series modules (compressors etc.) in line with the output of my mic preamps. I bought two of the ART P48 patch bays and installed them in my rack. I have one patch panel for the outputs of the preamps to patch directly to the DAW. I have another patch panel set up and connected to my 500 series rack chassis as send and return inputs. I can use short patch cords between the two P48s to reroute the outputs of the preamps to the inputs of the 500 series module and back to the DAW inputs. The P48 is very well built and makes it easy to configure my routing quickly. 5

[2x 120 mm] Absolutely love this case. I have a couple of other mini i-itx servers and this case is by far the best. Greatest feature is that it's trayless so just a matter of popping in a bare hard drive without messing with carriers. Very high quality. 5
