The Benro FGP28A Go Plus Aluminum Travel Tripodfrom Benro FGP28A Go Plus Aluminum Travel Tripodis an aluminum, 4-section tripod which offers a variety of studio-support amenities in a compact, travel-tripod design.

Sporting an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, the FGP28A can support up to 30 lb while weighing just 4.2 lb. Usable at either full height or ground level, the tripod can extend up to a maximum height of 65.2" or be lowered down to a minimum height of just 15.4". It's compact and travel friendly design can be directly attributed to the reverse folding legs which break the tripod down to just 19.5" in length.

Each one of the tripod's legs features a 4-section design allowing for the optional deployment of different leg sections to achieve varying heights. The legs also utilize Benro's sealed twist-locks which help to resist dust and moisture. One of the legs, marked with a blue ring, can also be joined with the center column to form a monopod - a useful feature for shooting in environments where tripods may not be permitted. The center column also features a unique lateral arm function which allows the column to tilt horizontally and lock in a wide range of different angles and positions.

The tripod's top plate features a standard 3/8"-16 mounting screw ideal for attaching most common tripod heads. Additionally, the FGP28A includes a carrying case and a set of interchangeable spiked feet for increased stability in dirt, sand, mud, and snow.

[19.5" (49.5 cm)] Good quality. A bit too heavy

[15.4" (39.1 cm)] I had a chance to use this tripod a few times inside for macro photography. All I can say is that it's very well engineered, and practical to use. No fiddling with the central column as I had to do before. It's so smooth and easy to move the lateral arm into position. It's also compact and easily transportable with the carrying case. One feature I especially like is the possibility to use one of the legs with the central column as a monopod. It's kind of an ideal tripod for my needs. Combined it with an Acratech ball head, and you have a winner!

[Yes] I purchased this to be dedicated to a video head so I would not have to swap the video head on to my current tripod. Quality is great, and gives you many different setup options depending on the situation.

[15.4" (39.1 cm)] Huge upgrade for me. the twisting locks on the legs make setting up a breeze. Then it shrinks down to a size that can be strapped to a bag or bike. I was mainly interested in the horizontal arm, which makes macro and overhead shots a lot easier. It comes with a pretty nice bag that most people won’t use as well. You’ll need to buy a separate head if you aren’t upgrading from a previous tripod, so keep that price in mind.

[6.9 lb] I am super happy with the decision to buy this tripod. I was using a rinky dink entry level stand that just wasn't making the cut anymore. It was time to buy a real tripod but I didn't want to break the bank. After researching and comparing the minute details of so many tripods I chose the Benro. Loads of super nice features on all the components. Really well built and ergonomic. I am impressed with the quality. Feels right.

[1] I usually don't write review, first time I felt like I would like to write a review.

1 - very goo twist lock with nice function for the right price and weight. After comparing with all the major brand in hand, I went for this one for my everyday mid/compact photo tripod.

2 - I recently broke one of the connector by tripping it very badly. Even though i wasn't expecting a free repair or replacement, customer support reply to my right away on my email. And send me the replacement part without no questions right away.

Don't had many customer support where i just felt thankful, and felt really good to have chosen this product and the brand. Really good product as well, and I cannot find any other product I like to replace with yet even for the double the price range.

[4] Great price for legs at $120 US. Love that it can convert to a monopod with little effort and the tripod configuration is very sturdy. Honestly the savings versus CF is worth it since you're adding very little weight going with aluminum
