Q: 1. How thick is the background?

A: The vinyl is fairly heavy, but combined with the backing I will roughly guess about 3/32 to 1/8 thick.The background is not folded, it's wrapped on a tube and is shipped in a very heavy shipping tube. Excellent product.

Q: 2. Can B&H confirm if the canvas version of this backdrop is the old cloth like material they used to make them out of vs. their new almost vinyl like material they are now producing? I believe Westcott made the change back in November of 2021

A: Yes. Materials are better then what was being used back in NOV of 2021.

A: Planks sizes vary from around 7 to 9 1/4 .

A: Wei,Not sure what the issue may have been back in February of last year as the current one shown here appears identical to the file we use at Wescott to print the backdrop. Provided your monitor is fairly accurate and you light the background appropriately for photography, I cannot see why your final image would not provide the same tones and patterns you see in the sample image.

Q: 8. Is the image on the vinyl soft focus?

A: I haven't looked at in in a while but I believe it is sharp. It does photograph well. And, of course, it depends on your aperture settings.

A: Yes you can.

A: There is no optional add on (they might of planned to do it), they do have X Drop 5x12' that will give you the baseboard.
