Prime wide-angle lens designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount DSLRs, this lens can also be used with DX-format DSLRs where it will provide a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.

The bright f/2 maximum aperture benefits working in a variety of lighting conditions and also aids focus control for shallow depth of field imagery.

Multi-coated glass elements increase contrast and maintain color accuracy by reducing flare and ghosting.

An AF/MF switch on the lens barrel allows you to select focusing methods, with either setting allowing you to focus as closely as 9.8" away.

Seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth out-of-focus quality when working with selective focus techniques.

Compact, lightweight design incorporates a metal bayonet lens mount for added durability.

Gold-plated electronic contacts convey EXIF data between camera and lens and also permit working M, Av, Tv, and P shooting modes.

[f/2] I love this lens! Will work well in darker environments and I love the fixed focus. I am relatively new to the professional photography world and this lens was recommended to me by a woman who photographs births. I came to B&H and found exactly what I was looking for AND it got to my doorstep much quicker than I expected. Overall very pleased!

[f/22] So far this lens has been great. Image quality is much better than the stock Canon zoom. The Red/Cyan fringe is certainly much less visible. The images are sharp on 1.6 zoom factor sensor. Build quality is absolutely fine. It is not quite a canon E lens, but it's great for the price.

[Full-Frame] This lens is so a so much affordable version than the other brands, and it does the work perfectly. I was hesitant to purchase it but a friend of mine gave it a shot and I had an opportunity to try it before buying it. I'm an amateur photographer and I was looking for a lens that would allow me to blurry the background and this lens does the work. The photos are sharp and the colors are amazing.
