A: Yes. The following system is adjustable and will support 5 and 8' backdrops and other third party brands in-between as long as grommets are set properly in place.

A: Yes, this Westcott Collapsible 2-in-1 Black and White Backdrop can wrinkle when folded or when storing it in certain environments. Steaming the wrinkles out would be the easiest option.

Q: 7. Is this translucent? IOW, can I light it from behind?

A: No. The following unity is solid white and suffers from no light loss.

A: Wei,Not sure what the issue may have been back in February of last year as the current one shown here appears identical to the file we use at Wescott to print the backdrop. Provided your monitor is fairly accurate and you light the background appropriately for photography, I cannot see why your final image would not provide the same tones and patterns you see in the sample image.
