Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can you mute from the transmitter?

A: Yes, the Polsen UWM-2 transmitters have a mute button.

Q: 2. This manual says it is compatible with rechargeable batteries. Will lithium batteries work?

A: Any AA battery will work with this kit.

Q: 3. does it include two wireless lapel microphones?

A: No, this listing is for the dual-channel receiver only. If you are looking to purchase a complete dual lavalier wireless system, I would recommend the BLX188/CVL. a href= http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/blx-wireless-systems target= _blank http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/blx-wireless-systems/a

Q: 4. What third party mics are supported? Would like to add some smaller profile mics to use with this kit.

A: Any lav that is NOT wired for Sony and has a locking 3.5mm jack will work with this system.

Q: 5. Where can I find the receiver for this?

A: Unfortunately, the Senal AWS-2000-A system is no longer available. The Senal AWS-2000P-A Plug-On Transmitter is a great add-on item for someone who already has the Senal AWS-2000-A Advanced Wireless Microphone System - A: 522 to 554 MHz (B&H # SEAWS2000A).

Q: 6. does shure BLX88 mix sounds from the dual XLR inputs?

A: No. There is no mixer functionality.

Q: 7. Will/does this communicate with Sony UWP-D equipment?

A: No, this is not compatible with Sony wireless systems.

Q: 8. Is there a wireless handheld mic that works with this rx?

A: No, there is no compatible wireless handheld transmitter/microphone available for use with the Polsen UWM-2 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System.

Q: 9. What receiver does this work with? I can't find a similar one made by Senal.

A: The Senal AWS-2000P Plug-On Transmitter is intended for use with the Senal AWS-2000 Wireless Receiver. There are two options for frequency bands. This particular transmitter operates on the B frequency band which covers 554 to 586 MHz and the transmitter for the A band which covers 522 to 554 MHz. The transmitter and receiver must both operate on the same frequency band.

Q: 10. what wireless label microphones would work well with this receiver?

A: The Shure SM58 wireless microphones with H9: 512 - 542 MHZ work excellent with this receiver.

[554 to 586 MHz] I bought this to replace an older system that often had interference.  I used this last week. It was great. The sound was crisp and clear.  No problem with outside interference.

[32 MHz] Mobile DJ since 2001. Previous owner of Shure and Sennheiser systems.

Have used Audix R61 receivers weekly (mostly at weddings) since early 2017, they are rock solid units! TRUE DIVERSITY (dual tuners) indeed! Have not had a SINGLE signal drop out indoors or outdoors, (64MHz frequency band is awesome) even in the super busy RF environment of Southern California. We typically use 2-3 units at the same time. The range is outstanding also, we are often about 100 ft away (advertises a huge 450 ft range, haven't had to do that..) and with up to 200 guests between receiver and bodypacks, still no issues.

Very easy setup, and has great features like locking the transmitter so no accidental 'mutes' occur. R61 has a massive amount of tunable frequencies if you need them. The construction is metal and quite solid. Shure and Sennheiser rule the mobile DJ world of wireless, but after speaking with Audix at NAMM 2017, I went with their system and have not looked back. I have since had two other colleagues see/hear the system, and although they were lifetime Shure users, bought an Audix 60 series system. The few reviews you will find rave about them as well. I think it is the current sleeper system that doesn't get a lot of attention, but performs extremely well. Highly recommend.

The only downside is the R61 receivers, and the 60 series in general, are of course more expensive than the '40' series, and not typically in stock...anywhere. It takes a few extra days to get to you but it is worth the wait to ensure perfect events, especially wedding ceremonies, with rock solid signal thanks to the true diversity dual tuners.

[2:1] This was used with a Samson Expedition XP800 amp/mixer/speakers system for an all day event with about 100 people under a large tent. The system was easy to set up and connect with the XP800. The microphones worked very well. For the small microphone, you have the choice of clipping a lapel clip to it or a headset/boom. We used the lapel clip. Be sure to clip it near the center of the body for best pickup. Our first user clipped it a bit to the side, and every time he turned his head the other way, his voice trailed off. With it clipped to a shirt under the chin,, the pickup was remarkable and clear. The instructions state that the mics need AA alkaline batteries and they will last about 8 hours, and don't use rechargeable batteries. These mics were used a lot and did die after about 8 hours. Next time I would use Energizer Lithium batteries for a very long event.
A couple of times the microphone popped off of the lapel clip when the speaker had muted their mic and was working with their hands and not paying attention. It clips back on easily.
