The Audix R42 Kit Dual-Channel UHF Receiver 522-554 MHzis a Performance Series dual-channel UHF diversity receiver designed to deliver enhanced range and easy configuration for musicians, vocalists, presenters, and public speakers in houses of worship, concert venues, conferences, and live stage applications. It offers 106 pre-coordinated frequencies across 32 MHz of bandwidth in the 522 to 554 MHz frequency band. Use two wireless microphones (available separately) from up to 300' away. One-touch sync and auto scan functions provide simple and efficient setup.

The high-contrast LCD shows a host of information such as battery level, frequency, and AF/RF signal strength, which can be optimized via adjustable AF and RF gain. XLR and 1/4" outputs allow compatible connectivity with the balanced or unbalanced inputs on your mixing console. The R42 Kit-A ships with two antennas, two BNC cables, an audio cable, one power supply, and a rackmount kit.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i order a replacement ac adapter for the receiver? the cord has broken

A: Unfortunately the replacement power adapters are not available as a separate item here at B&H. You may wish to contact CAD service or technical support by visiting the following link: http://bit.ly/1IoP3zm

Q: 2. Would I be getting what is shown in the photo? The all black 2020 device or the old original yellow device?

A: This listing is for the Saramonic UwMic9-RX9, the old orange version. The new version is called the UwMic9S (BH #SAUWMIC9SK2M).

Q: 3. Does this item come with a manufacturer's ( Sound Devices) warranty?

A: Yes, the Sound Devices A20-RX comes with a limited 1-year manufacturer's warranty with the option of an additional 1-year extension upon product registration.

Q: 4. How do I output two separate channels on this receiver? I see it only includes one 1/8" TRS to XLR cable.

A: The UwMic9-RX9 Dual Channel Camera Mount Receiver outputs a stereo signal which has both channels in one TRS 3.5mm cable. You can also use a stereo 3.5mm to dual XLR cable like B&H # HOHMX003Y or an equivalent 'Y' interconnect.

Q: 5. Does this run off of 9V battery power?

A: You would need SR9VBP to be able to run this on a 9V battery. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/663969-REG/Lectrosonics_SR9VBP_SR9VBP_9_Volt_Battery.html

Q: 6. What is the power input? What kind of cable could I use to go from an NP-1 or BDS into the SRc?

A: The receiver accepts from 6-18V d.c. @1.4W, so it is compatible with most any battery or DC supply system. The connector is an LZR threaded locking plug. Our PS200 cable goes from a Hirose to LZR so that might help. (You didn't state what type of connector is at the supply side). Also - and very important: you must order with the receiver a bottom plate that is suitable to your application. If the receiver is not being used in a camera the most commonly used plate is the SREXT. This gives you both audio channels out on TA3 connectors and the LZR power input port.

Q: 7. What mics are compatible with SLXD4D?

A: The Shure SLXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver (G58: 470 to 514 MHz) can be used with wireless bodypack and handheld transmitters. The Shure SLXD1 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter - G58: 470 to 514 MHz (B&H # SHSLXD1G58) can be used with the compatible lavalier, headset, or earset style microphone of your choice and the Shure SLXD2 Wireless Handheld Transmitters are available with a variety of mic capsules so you can select the transmitter with the mic capsule that you prefer, such as the Shure SLXD2/SM58 Digital Wireless Handheld Microphone Transmitter with SM58 Capsule - G58: 470 to 514 MHz (B&H # SHSLXD2SMG). Just make sure that the receiver and transmitters you select are all for the same frequency band. This particular receiver operates on the G58 frequency band of 470 to 514 MHz.

Q: 8. is there a difference between buying this and two single channel digital wireless receivers ?. apart from saving some money

A: There is no difference apart from saving money and space.

Q: 9. Are these units rack mountable?

A: This system cannot accommodate rack ears but could be used in a rack configuration with rack shelves: Raxxess - 1U Universal Shelf (Black) B&H# RAUNS1

Q: 10. Does the 1/4 mic out jack provide a mixed mono output for both channels on the receiver?

A: The 1/4" connector on the VocoPro UHF-28-9 Dual-Channel UHF Wireless Handheld Microphone System (9M: 915.0/9N: 918.7 MHz) is an unbalanced line output, which indicates the signal from both microphones is summed up to mono.

[45 Hz to 18 kHz] It works as intended. Nothing like Shure original stuff.

[32 kHz] They do exactly what you expect them to do, and do it well. Using with Shure SLXD systems.

[45 Hz to 18 kHz] Bought to improve signal reception due to frequent dropouts and we want to be able to remote mount in the future. The construction is solid. Antenna is about 13 inches long. Works well with the Shure SLX4 receiver. We saw a definite improvement in the radio signal over the basic 1/4 wave antennas. Works on any frequency between 470-636.

[Up to 8] too many wireless mic receivers come with tiny antennas. Boost your gain and keep things connected with a half wave of Shure!

[45 Hz to 18 kHz] Replaced the quarter inch that come with the sennheiser XSW-2. Worth every dollar spent on these to improve signal and distance with a lapel mic. I'm a mobile DJ that does wedding ceremony audio, so having no drops outs is a must. I gained about 25ft of distance and more importantly, no slight drop outs I would sometimes deal with prior

[32 MHz] With the crowded spectrum that we now deal with I have begun to add wireless systems in the lower frequency bands. This antenna lets me use my ULX-J1, QLX-D H50, and SLX-D G58 systems with the same antenna.

[32 MHz] I needed a set of Wideband antennas for my Shure UA844 distribution unit. These antennas cover the frequencies of all of my wireless units.
