[Full-Frame] Absolutely love this lens. Very well made and handles well. Just the right amount of resistance on the aperture and focus rings. I like the fact that they use plastic because it makes them much lighter and easier to hold. Maybe not as rugged as a metal body but for the price I donâ€t think you can beat this lens. Great geometry,FOV and sharpness. A pleasure to look through. Very glad to have picked up the 20 instead of the 24. This is my second Samyang/Rokinon lens and next to the expensive Sony lenses I own can say Iâ€m very impressed.

[Canon EF] I purchased this lens specifically for taking pictures of the stars. Traveling to Maui and during the prime Milky Way viewing season. The performed excellent and I would highly recommend this lens!

[Manual Focus] I love this lens. It's so easy to focus for landscapes and doesn't nudge easily which is a plus. I used it once for astrophotography and it performed excellently. I stopped down to 2.2 for less coma on the edges. Sunsets are stunning as well. It's a keeper!

I have checked the lens over and sighted it by eye. All appears well so far, with the usual high quality and smooth operation.
I guess I must like Elite Brands lenses (Rokinon / Samyang), this makes six of them, including three cine lenses. ; )

[f/1.8] I found this lens to a big surprise. It is very sharp. I take Astro photo and at f1.8 it is very good for the stars. It also is amazing for 4 grounds when like painting. F5.6 f8 are Sigma like sharp.

I'm seem us this lens alot . Ibhave a Rokinon sp 14 F2.4 which is also amazing but the 20mm focal lengths I like better . No distortion stall.
I'm very happy with this products. No regrets.

[Manual Focus] Excellent Optic - the flower hood is not ideal. I've been using it on my Lumix G95 - it suffers same issue as the 50mm Rokinon with a similar hood in terms of Glare and angle you can use before running into the problem / sun spots appearing in a frame - I did gaffer tape wrap the hood a bit and it gained significantly on glare angle. I'd not hesitate to recommend it as a lens, at T2.8 onward it is impressive. It is also a good size for a lot of work conditions and should prove very useful to have in ones Kit.

[77 mm (Front)] I'm using this lens for video on a Sony A6400, which gives it an effective focal length of 30mm. It focuses extremely close, almost like a macro which I wasn't expecting. Plenty sharp for video and on a APS-C sensor no issues with vignetting, etc.

I dont think there is much use of opening it wider than T2.8, but at T4-T5.6 IMHO it is almost as good as Compact Primes.

[1.685 lb] I'm a fan of Elite Brands lenses and am working on the cine ds set, have three so far. Apart from the lens hood there is little not to like.
I found some vignetting at T1.9, but quite even by T2.8.
I 'borrowed' the Sony 20mm lens profile for editing. Centring seems good and this is a bright lens!

So if you want to combine wide apertures with sunny days, consider a neutral density filter.
