[11.7 lb] Only don’t 2 or 3 video clips and they were nice. About 7500 photo in the last week and a half. Be sure you have lots of storage because it machine guns photos! The autofocus works well. Probably user error more than the camera if there are any issues.

[11.7 lb] Just returned from a dive trip to Cozumel and used new Fantasea housing for the first time. Everything seemed fine and no leaks. I did dive once with the housing without the camera as directed, The housing seems more sturdy than my previous Canon for a different camera which flooded. The directions instruct you not to close the housing when flying due to the cabin pressure. I left the back ajar and the back did seal during the flight and was VERY difficult to open to insert the camera to get ready to dive. Otherwise so far so good- used it for 10 dives to date.

[11.7 lb] After reading a few reviews about this camera written by people that probably shouldn't have purchased it...because they clearly didn't know how to handle a camera, I decided it was time to write my own. I make my living with my camera equipment. Two years ago, after years of using 5D, 6D, and 7D cameras, I felt it was time to make the jump to the 1DX Mark II. I was informed that 2017 would be a full race schedule for me and I wanted to step up my game. I figured that if the majority of my income is now coming from motorsports, I should buy the 1DX.

From day one of owning this camera, it was an exceptional performer and met all expectations when moving to the best camera model Canon has to offer. The viewfinder, grip, build, viewfinder - it all spoils you! Once you've shot with this, the 5D Mark IV feels like a much cheaper camera...and 5D is a great professional camera.

I've seen some people comment on issues they've had with the camera. Much of those "issues" can be explained away from ignorance or unrealistic expectations. But I know that I haven't had any issues with the camera other than an erratic occurrence when using the 580EX II flash where it will lock into firing like a machine gun and not stop until you pull the battery...it was odd and has happened only three times in two years.

But this camera has excellent dynamic range in RAW files, reliable and responsive autofocus that works in hardly any light and in heavily backlit situations. I love this camera and I'm honored to be able to afford one and justify the need for my work.

[11.7 lb] I choose this 45 degree viewfinder because not always have plenty space to shoot being completely vertical. This viewfinder allows me to be horizontal and be able to shoot perfectly

[11.7 lb] This camera makes the 7d Mark 2 feel like a toy. This thing is a beast. The autofocus is super fast, and images are crisp. Ive shot up to ISO 10K so far without a problem. I regret not pulling the trigger sooner.

Now I have to figure out how to get a second body since my 7D is now useless.

[11.7 lb] I bought this case a few days ago after gathering all info on the Fantasea, Canon and Ikelite housings. I chose the Fantasea because it had great reviews and seemed to be a quality product without being too expensive. It works beautifully. Easy access to buttons, even touch-screen, everything worked great. I highly recommend this housing.

[11.7 lb] This is a great housing in it's simplicity. It doesn't confuse me with so many buttons. It has only the functions that are necessary. I have taken great pictures with it. It works perfectly every time.

[11.7 lb] This is simply the best camera on the market, even 3 years after its release. Fast, accurate, durable. Mine has traveled all over the USA and the world and confident in its ability to just work. Sure there are other cameras that may have a better single spec (mostly for video) but there is no other camera that does everything the 1DX2 does in one package. Also the ergonomics are too notch, something spec sheets don’t show. Unfortunately someone decided that they needed it more than I do and mine was stolen but I will be purchasing another one as soon as my insurance check arrives.
