A: You can adjust the width of the legs, but you do not want to let the center column hit the ground or it will loose stability.

A: Unfortunately, Impact Studio Lighting does not list the threaded tightening knob for the Impact Heavy-Duty Light Stand (Black, 13') as a separate replacement accessory. A: Yes! You may just need the hotshoe attachment piece. I have a Yuongnuo speedlite that works great with it. Usually I'm attaching it with an umbrella or softbox to this light stand, but it works with the flash alone too!
