The DMM0523 Concealer from DPA Microphones is a set of five microphone concealers designed to reduce friction noise when attaching DPA Slim 4060 and 4061 microphones to performers and subjects in the theater, concerts, houses of worship, interviews, and more. It keeps clothing away from the microphone, thus preventing problematic cloth noise. The top part of the concealer can be removed while the base remains attached to clothing. A detachable space bracket provides reliable distance between clothing and the microphone, and clicks in and out of the top of the concealer.

A: Yes. This will fit both the 4060 and 4061

A: The Bubblebee Industries Lav Concealer For DPA 4071 will not also work with the Shure TwinPlex TL48 Lavalier. The microphones have similar form factors but are not identical. There is not a Bubblebee concealier made for the TL48 at this time.

A: Yes, the DPA Microphones Clear Concealer Top for d:screet 4060/61/62/63/71 does include the metal clip and space brackets. I confirmed this information with DPA.

(Sorry-- unable to edit previously submitted question about difference between two similar stereo pairs of 4061 being offered by B&H) Specifically, I'm wondering if there is any downside to the newer (I presume) model. A: The DPA Microphones d:screet Core 4061 is much improved over the original "legacy" 4061: as described on the B&H Webpage: DPA Microphones d:screet Core 4061 The Core 4061 miniature microphone amplifier delivers a 4 dB increase in dynamic range and a 14 dB reduction in THD (total harmonic distortion)

Q: 6. Is this adapter wired for Lectrosonics Servo wiring, or Universal wiring?

A: This specification is not published by DPA, but available upon request. The DPA DAD3056 uses universal wiring and is listed to work with all LM, SM and UM series transmitters. Should you have an M185 wireless system, this adapter will not work. You will need the DAD6012.

[4.2 x 2.6 x 1"] I couldn't be more happier than this recent purchase of the SCM0017 Miniature Mic Holder. If fits perfect with my stereo pair of DPA 4060s. The clips are secure and it can be positioned in many ways from clipping it to your shirt to using it as a mount on my glasses for binaural recordings. 5

I wanted to find a solution that would be great to mic up the skateboarder we were filming without running into russell issues. This solved all our problems! Could not speak more highly of it! [0.1 lb] Priced right and keeps air movements out of the mic indoors. Not very effective in true wind, but that's not what it was designed for either. Used on Oktava MK-012 on indoor boom. Not made of cheap foam like some. Should last a while. 5

[4.2 x 2.6 x 1"] Excellent mount for securing against clothing noise. Add some moleskin and these reduced clothing noise issues from fidgety subjects. Pricey but recommended to have a couple in your kit for tough situations. 5

[0.1 lb] I started making these many years ago and I am very please that DPA has developed their own. These fit the 4060 series LAV mics perfectly. They are the perfect size for what I need and I use them daily. Use these concealer's with Rycote stickies and you are ready to roll! 5

[4.2 x 2.6 x 1"] Similar to the Sanken RM-11 rubber mount, but much more technical. Some small parts, but altogether it makes a very sturdy mount - no way to pull the mic out by accident, yes it makes a tiny mic 10x bigger, But that's what you have to do to prevent clothing noise most of the time. Also at $17 it is fairly economical. A must-have for DPA 6060 5
