Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Compatible with Sony A7iii? 18-105 lens?

A: Unfortunately, this product is not compatible with the A7 III nor a Sony 18-105mm lens.

Q: 2. Will a Sony A6500 with a 16-70 lens fit?

A: i would use a U-A100 housing for that set up.

Q: 3. Can you zoom in and out?

A: You have the ability by pressing the tubus to manually zoom in and out.

Q: 4. What's the maximum focal can be used without vignette ? My gear is Sony A7RII and FE1635

A: Hi Dziung, there will always be vignetting of some sort while shooting underwater, but the limits on lenses in this housing are really the filter thread size (max is 82 mm) we recommend the widest possible settings to be used and framing where crops are possible.Hope this helps. All the best,Eric

Q: 5. is this housing compatible with the Sony a6000 with an 18-200 lens?

A: No, it is not. It can only take lenses up to 2.8 inches, and the 18-200mm is more than that at its smallest.

Q: 6. does this housing supposed to come with some padding?

A: This underwater housing bag does not come with padding.

Q: 7. I'm looking for underwater housing that would accommodate my Canon 5D III, battery grip, 600EX flash and a 77mm lens (ideally up to 82mm). What reliable options would you recommend for this setup, without breaking the bank?

A: Ewa-Marine bag housings are a reliable option at a reasonable price when working in 20' of water or less. The housing is rated to 150' but water pressure will make it difficult to access the camera controls through the bag. The Ewa-Marine U-BXP100 is their largest housing. This bag is designed to hold an on-camera speedlight and could accommodate internal focus lenses with a maximum 82mm lens filter size. The housing includes the threaded 77mm lens-to-port adapter ring. Other optional port adapter rings including the 82mm adapter is available (#CA82). Wide-angle lenses can be used with this housing. The housing is designed for large DSLR cameras only. Use of a battery grip cannot be guaranteed. Q: 8. Will this work with a Canon 80d, Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, and Yongnuo Transmitter (YN-E3-RT)?

A: This setup will fit in the u-az

Q: 9. would a canon t3i rebel fit?

A: The Canon T3i will fit in the Ewa-Marine U-AX Housing. You do have to make sure the lens on the camera has a maximum filter thread of 72mm. The camera body and lens together cannot be longer than 6.7 (170mm). Only internal focus lenses could be used in Ewa-Marine housings.

Q: 10. Will this work with a lens with a 49mm thread? Do I need to order an adapter?

A: The Ewa-Marine U-FXP Underwater Housing's lens port will accommodate a lens as large as 80mm on the outer diameter. So lenses with a 49mm filter thread will fit. This housing is not designed to use adapters.

[15' / 4.6 m] Here is the most important thing you will need to know... IT WORKS! Putting your 5D Mark III into a body of water with a $2500 dollar lens and a flash does not feel natural in any way the first time you ease it into the water. But life is life and if it was going to leak I was going to find out the hard way, It did not leak. Humidity packets that came with it got rid of fog. The only tricky thing is that you really need to dial in your settings before getting in there, or use it on full auto. I shoot in Pools in Manual and it worked fine with a bit of going back and adjusting settings again. Direct flash looks terrible underwater as it does above water, so I am still not sure I will use flash again for my underwater needs. Great thing is I can turn flash on and off through the housing anyways so, not a big deal to have there just in case. The plastic does warp your lcd image and makes it look cloudy, the first time I thought everything looked terrible until I took it out of the thick plastic housing. Bottom line, this works, and the company that makes it guarantees your gear in case of manufacturing failure. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

[15' / 4.6 m] Decided to get this over cheaper alternatives mainly due to:1) optical glass for better image quality2) adaptor to hold front of glass against your lens which really help in preventing any vignetting I do have previous experience using sports housings by aquatech for sports photography and got this more for casual beach side usage. Overall, am very satisfied by the quality of the housing and the images produced out of it.

[2.015 lb] This is a really great housing. I have been using it for surf photography. The housings made for surf photography can run you a couple of thousand, minimum, so this one is an awesome way to get started! It's a bit tricky without being able to test the settings and the lens port requires some cropping in post when using wide angle lenses. Totally worth it though!

[Clear] We use the newer Panasonic AG-HMC150 and this VP2 EWA-Marine product was recommended directly from the manufacturer as compatible. It is, it does work great. We did fashion some internal foam to keep the lens in line with the glass but otherwise it works great. We strap it to the front of a sea kayak and take GREAT HD footage while kayaking in and out of sea caves in the Channel Islands off the central California coast.

[2.015 lb] For the price, it is great. You do need weighs for it if you want to go deeper than arms length. It is not easy to adjust focus or iris but it is possible between shots through the finger inserts.

[15' / 4.6 m] I went diving for the first time and bought this housing to take my Canon T3i underwater with me. I only dove 7 meters/21 feet, but it worked perfectly fine for me. No leaks or moisture inside at all and it fit my Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens perfectly. There was plenty of room for the flash too. I couldn't really change settings underwater while diving, although I could in the housing above water. I was hoping to switch to movie mode at some point, but wasn't able to. In reality, I don't think I would have been able to hold it straight in front of me steady enough while diving in order to do video anyway. That's probably just because I have no diving experience though. I set it to A+ (scene intelligent auto) mode for the underwater shots so I wouldn't have to change any manual settings. I had to let almost all of the air out in order to get it below the surface of the water, even with the lead weight in the case. Since it wasn't a deep dive, I didn't have any problems with the housing shrinking around the camera at all.I was able to take some photos that I'm really happy with underwater and even above water. The glass doesn't seem to blur the image at all EXCEPT for when you're above water and have water drops on the glass. I also used this case while kayaking in the rain and those shots are blurry.

[2.015 lb] Light weight and easy to use. I started using it with my Canon EOS10D and am still using it with the EOS 50D. With all other housings I would have had to buy a new one each time I changed the camera...

[2.015 lb] This waterproof case is dirt-simple, rugged, and relatively inexpensive. Our old Sony is a bit dated, but still a pretty good camera. Now that we have a new Nikon, I'll risk the old Sony for snorkeling duty in Central America this spring.

[15' / 4.6 m] Loved the shots - it was easier to preset many of the controls first - no problems on vacation reef dive -way cheaper than a hard housing - flexible but has a glass lens port.
