Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this book cover off-camera flash photography or just on-camera flash?

A: I have this book. From what I can make out (it is so detailed and verbose, almost too much so), most of it refers to understanding on-camera flash and manual modes, though some of it may be applicable to off-camera flash. There is a very small section for off-camera flash. I personally haven't used this book much after I bought it.

Q: 2. Does this come with stereoscopic (red and blue) paper glasses or do I need to buy some separately?

A: The book does not list that it comes with any glasses.

Q: 3. How do I get this in audio format?

A: The Amphoto Book: Understanding Exposure, 4th Edition: How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera is not available in audio format.

Q: 4. Is this filter safe for solar eclipse photography?

A: Haida 95mm NanoPro One Million X Edition ND Filter (20 Stop) BH #HAHD460795 is not rated for solar photography no.

Q: 5. I read that this book is written for Apple users, not Windows users. Is this true? Does it matter? The source said many of the pull down instructions are Apple specific.

A: I teach Lightroom in seminars and photography schools. Scott Kelby's Lightroom book is the best that I have ever seen in helping someone understand Lightroom. The book is suitable for BOTH MAC and PC users. Scott always gives references on how to do things for either format. (Frank www.studio63.us)

Q: 6. Does he (Scott Kelby) have a book covering the stand alone version of lightroom 6? If not, how helpful is this CC book for a stand alone version of the software or are their any other lightroom 6 stand alone version books that you recommend instead?

A: After I answered yesterday, I spent time looking at the book last night and he says from the beginning that CC and 6 are basically the same thing and the book works for either. I learned enough in 15 minutes to make it worth the purchase. As a LR 6 owner I recommend it.

Q: 7. Is this intended for solar shooting?

A: The Haida 77mm NanoPro One Million X Edition Filter is a 20 stop filter and any filter over 16 stops is safe for solar use.

Q: 8. I just converted a camera for Infrared (IR) photography. Does this book go into editing IR photographs?

A: I don't see anything in the book regarding IR photography editing.

Q: 9. Are step-by-step examples with pictures included in the training manual?

A: Yes, step-by-step examples with pictures included.

Q: 10. Hello, given that this product's filter factor is 1,000,000; does this imply ND20 and is this appropriate for solar photography?(e.g solar eclipse) the price seems fairly low for such high filtering power.

A: Yup! Indeed, this is a 20-stop filter. Perfect for solar photography!
