Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. In real life on the trail with a coat on does it remove off the shoulders and swing around easily? Will it set on it's bottom on the ground w.o tipping forward?

A: Thats a tough one to answer. Its a really nice backpack, but your question really can only be answered with, it depends; on your jacket, how you have the pack filled, etc. it doesnt really like to stand on its bottom, but the idea behind the bag is to lay it on its back so you can acccess the camera. So I dont think they really intend it to stand on its bottom. You can easily loosen the waist strap if you have a bulky jacket. Ive been happy with the bag.

Q: 2. Will this fit a full-size camera body with battery grip attached? LowePro says it will fit a "pro-DSLR," but it doesn't look like it is large enough.

A: The Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green) is designed to accommodate mirrorless cameras or compact DSLR cameras, along with 1-2 extra lenses. It would not be deep enough for a pro DSLR camera or a camera with a battery grip. The Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green), B&H # LOFTBP450AWB • MFR # LP37016, would be the correct option compatible for use with a pro DSLR camera or a camera with a battery grip.

Q: 3. What is the range of the length adjustment for the sternum strap? .. for example like 4-22 inches ?

A: The sternum strap on the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green) has a lenght of 3.5 -12.5 inches.

Q: 4. Is the waist belt removable?

A: No, the waist band is integrated into the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW.

Q: 5. Will this pack hold a hydration pouch (3l)?

A: Yes, but it's not really designed for that. You can put the hydration bladder in the main pocket.

Q: 6. I'm looking for a bag that I can carry a camera with 2-3 lenses, and about 3 days worth of clothes. Is there enough room in this bag?

A: You won't fit 3 days of clothes in here. Unless you're in the tropics and only need a fresh T-shirt. There's room for a compact jacket, or a good compressible down jacket.

Q: 7. Would this bag fit a Canon XA50 camcorder?

A: No, the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW Backpack (Gray/Dark Green) is to small for the Canon XA50 camcorder.

Q: 8. Can you access the camera from the top?

A: Yes, in the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 250 AW Backpack there is a removable Velcro divider between the top portion of the bag and the bottom that can be removed for full access of the bag.

Q: 9. Will this fit a wide angle lens plus a 70-200mm?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. What is the bag volume in terms of liters?

A: According to Lowepro, the Flipside Trek BP 250 AW has a 10L capacity.

[Universal] This is my six Lowepro bag in five years and probably my favorite, diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck three years ago.I had to downsize my camera gear to lighter ones and a lightweight backpack. I pack my smartphone and 8inch tablet, wallet and keys fit with no issues. So far it's my go to bag, rugged not sure why they have so many straps but it does make it look fashionable. Can hold advanced point and shoot, mirrorless and small DSLR with two prime lens.

[Yes] I bought this for an upcoming trip to Death Valley. It holds all my gear: Sony A7M3, 20/1.8, 85/1.8, 70-300, Sigma 70 ART macro, color checker card, remote, first aid kit, plenty of room for emergency food & salty snacks, two water bottle pockets deep enough for them to be secure, with the tripod lashed to the exterior center straps. I’ve taken a few hikes fully loaded and the system wears very well. One tip: put soft items or your shortest physical lenses at the bottom of the pack, or your lower back may feel them

[2.6 lb] Great midsized backpack for carrying one full frame camera and a spare lens or two... both sides have spacious stretchy side pockets that fit larger water bottles and/or attach a tripod with ease.

[Universal] I have many bags but none of them seemed to be right for an upcoming trip where I wanted to comfortable carry my Olympus ODM M1 Markll mirrorless with attached 12-100 f4 PRO zoom, two f1.2 PRO primes and a standby Lumix LX100. This along with EDC things I might need on the go (water bottle, rain jacket, first aid kit, assortment of comfort items and mini tools, etc). So I searched. Several bags I own and many that I researched came close but I found this one and it seemed to fit all my criteria: 1. Smaller/streamlined (at first I thought about the 150 but after measuring the 350 seemed right, 2. Good shoulder padding and padded waist belt to comfortably hold the majority of the load, 3. Secure openings especially for the camera gear, 4. Ample room and reasonable access to my gear, 5. Ample room and easy access for non camera gear, 6. Durably made, 7. Easy rain cover deployment, 8. Lots of straps and molle strips to hang stuff if needed, 9. Good organization of pockets and compartments, 10. Good looking, 11. Reasonably priced. So I took the plunge and bought yet another camera bag. B&H expedited shipment and I received in just a few days. So far I’m very satisfied and can’t wait to deploy it.. My only concern, albeit minor and perhaps unfounded, is the waist belt buckle. It does not seem to be as robust as it could be, as the rest of the bag’s buckles, zippers and straps seem to be. Time will tell.

[Universal] I got this bag to bring on my outdoor adventures; it’s perfect! It’s small but fits my camera; 2 lenses; my binoculars; snacks and my tripod. I love that I can access my camera easily too with the flip side access. Love it!!

[Yes] An amazing everyday pack. Right mix of gear storage and personal storage. The straps help where the internal storage is small. Easily fits a Sony full frame with 28-70mm and 100-400mm sigma lens, two filter kits for the separate lenses in the camera storage. Side pockets big enough to fit a 32oz Nalgene. I wish the pockets were a little bigger inside for cables and such but that's forgivable. Overall, this is a great pack for quick hikes and every day use.

[2.6 lb] I have multiple backpacks, but searched for a small one that can fit my canon R5 with 24-70, plus flashlight and extra len and it fits perfectly.
Very comfortable and love the flip as it hang and able to take our the camera.
I saw a review here by name of Michele that she had a problem firing her R5....it's all about organization of the dividers within the bag and it fits perfect!
