Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the material durable? Are they water resistance fabric that can stand light shower or wet ground?

A: Yes, theis bag is strongly water resistent due to a built in rain cover, and also the material is durable.

Q: 2. What are the inside dimensions of the lower chamber? Will it fit a Sigma 150-600 unmounted?

A: Elle, as Robert H. noted the inside dimension is 12, as Sigma gives 11.4 as the length of the 150-600mm, it should fit with room to spare. This is a very well-made bag, with lots of flexibility. I particularly like the fact that access to the camera compartment is from the rear this means you can lay the bag down on snow or wet ground to access your camera and lenses, and be confident that when you put the bag back on you wont have a wet surface against your bag. I heartily recommend it!

Q: 3. Can the Nikon Z 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 S lens fit across the bottom of the camera compartment? In other words, side-to-side?

A: Yes, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR will fit side to side in the Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Backpack.

Q: 4. What is width of the shoulder strap in the chest area?

A: The shoulder strap is 2.6" wide.

Q: 5. Will this fit Nikon D500 200 500 without lens removal?

A: The bag is just 12 inches long. It won't fit the camera with the lens on. You will need to remove the lens from the camera to place it in the bag.

Q: 6. Can the waist belt be stowed away when not used?

A: No. The following belt is integrated to the bag and can not be removed.

Q: 7. Would a Canon EOS C200 fit in?

A: We assume you mean will it take the C200 built up. We have never tried this so we can only offer an opinion. The bag is 12.2 x 9.5 x 21.3 (31.0 x 24.0 x 54.0 cm). The C200 without lens but with accessories is 13.2 x 10.8 x 10.8 / 33.53 x 27.43 x 27.43 cm (camera grip + LCD Monitor LM-V1 + LCD Attachment Unit LA-V1 + Handle Unit HDU-2 + mic holder). It may be tight but it seems that it should work.

Q: 8. Anyone tried to fit a 13 Macbook Pro 2017 in the pocket?

A: I've a MacBook Pro 13' 2015 and it does fit nicely in the front pocket.A 15' version would be too big.

Q: 9. How well would a Benro series 2 Mach 3 with 3 sections tripod fit in this backpack?

A: That Benro tripod has a folded length of 26" and the maximum dimension of the pack is 12", so it wouldn't fit inside the pack, but it could be carried attached to the outside of the pack easily.

Q: 10. How many liters is the bag?

A: The Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW Backpack is approximately 20L including space on top for personal items.

[Universal] I spend a lot of time outdoors and am prior Army special Forces so I have had some seriously time with a backpack on. I hike on both trails and backcountry and have found this pack to be perfect for day hikes and possible overnight hikes in the warmer months (Hammock, no tent). I typically carry my mavic pro, Sony a7Rii, and a couple of lens. The top has plenty of room for snacks and a change of clothes if you need it. The waterproof shell is also a huge plus. The construction is stellar and hugs the body nicely, not a whole lot of side to side when bending over and maneuvering some tough terrain. Highly recommend this pack and at such a good price point, would purchase again with no hesitation.

[Universal] Terrific backpack. Very light with plenty of room for camera gear as well as iPad, rain coat, lunch, etc. I have carried my Sony a7RII, 16-35 lens, and 70-200 lens, Canon EOS M5 with 55-200 lens and 22 mm lens, Lee ND filters, tripod, cleaning supplies, etc. still with a good deal of room for lunch, rain coat, etc. Well made. Can't find anything to fault it at this point.

[Yes] I'm looking for a useful and good backpack for my camera, lens and material when i'm going in park or in town for photo project. Two of my friends have this model and they explain to me the different configuration and all the material they can pick with. in my mind they are the best Christmas gift to me from me !!!

[Yes] I was looking to be able to carry my photo gear plus layers of essential clothes. So glad I purchased the 450 size. With this size I don’t have to fill it to the max all the time, but utilize it to fit the need. A smaller size would negate that option. Some have said the buckles were a little different. Yes they are, but in a very good way. The buckles are very easy to operate with cold fingers or with gloves on. I have put that to the test. Awesome upgrade to a buckle system. The waist belt and straps are very comfortable and easy to adjust. All in all this pack is a great value for the money, and it looks very good as a bonus. No complaints here.

[Zipper] The Lowpro Flipside Trek BP 450 was everything I expected and more.
It is the end all be all camera back pack. Lots of room, well built and definitely had the camera enthusiast in mind. Whether your a novice or pro it is the complete camera backpack.

[Zipper] I bought this for an upcoming trip to Death Valley. It holds all my gear: Sony A7M3, 20/1.8, 85/1.8, 70-300, Sigma 70 ART macro, color checker card, remote, first aid kit, plenty of room for emergency food & salty snacks, two water bottle pockets deep enough for them to be secure, with the tripod lashed to the exterior center straps. I’ve taken a few hikes fully loaded and the system wears very well. One tip: put soft items or your shortest physical lenses at the bottom of the pack, or your lower back may feel them

[Yes] I can't say enough positive things about this pack. It is very comfortable. The venting/cushion system on the back fits well (and I'm 6'02 and 250 lbs.). The lower pocket comfortably holds my full frame with 70-200 attached (lens hood reversed), plus a couple of other primes. This is the first bag/pack where I have actually had an excess of dividers provided, which is a pleasant surprise. Pack is relatively light overall with heavy stitching, metal zippers, and plenty of loops for the avid non-conformist packer. Quick access top pouch with attached rain hood.

The top pack is separate and easily holds my lunch and non-camera accessories I want to travel with. You could slip a water bottle on each side, or a tripod on one. I've tried the tripod jury-rigged to the back straps and it didn't work well (weight shift was a deal-breaker). The only improvement I could suggest for this pack is some type of extension cup for larger tripods, which some of us like to carry even on those long walks. Some reviewers have complained that the lower waist pads and straps are not removable - which they are not - but I have also walked with them loose and they're fairly unobtrusive.

With the myriad bags and packs available, I never know if I'm making the right choice. This bag was made for BOTH comfort and equipment in mind. I made the right choice this time.

[Yes] This is a fantastic and well made bag. It is super comfortable even with a heavier load. I like that it offers some protection and can help keep things dry if the weather does not cooperate. The interior is very adjustable for various gear. I like the quality of this bag. I use it with, full frame camera with 24-105mm lens, 100-400mm lens and 11-24mm lens. There is a spot for a tablet and memory cards. Exterior straps and pockets seem good for water bottle and/or mono/tripod. Top storage area for more camera gear or food for a good day hike.

[Yes] Very comfartable backpack. I tried several packs and none of them was comfartable for me. I sits good on your back and supports good.
It fits my Nikon D750, with a 70-200, a 24-70 and a 10-24 lens on it. Plus several accesoires.
