Proceed with that knowledge.

A: Yes it is.

Q: 10. I cannot find any documentation on the Wifi status monitoring. Does this work through an application or is there a dedicated IP with a web API for each charger?

A: The LP Performance Series Chargers come standard with an integrated Wi-Fi module to be utilized with a variety of features and functions released in upcoming software revisions. The integrated Wi-Fi module will also be used for future battery compatibility, so new batteries may be used on the LP Performance Series Chargers as they are released. [4] I took a chance on this and I'm not disappointed. The first unit I received was damaged due to B&H's lackluster shipping packing. Second one has been great. Build quality is beefy, charges quickly. This is my second Watson Pro charger; I also got the smaller version for L-series NPF batteries.

[4] I think it takes a while to charge my 150wh batteries... I'm talking like 5 hours or more. I feel like it should be faster than that. Other than that, it works fine I guess. If you have 2 batteries on one side, it will take the lesser charged battery up to the current charge state of the other one, THEN start charging both simultaneously to 100%. Kinda weird. Not sure if my other chargers have done that in the past? Maybe they have.

[4] I finally bought this unit for an 8-day shoot, when I knew I'd need to have plenty of charged batteries available. I use it to charge 2x Core SWX 150 Nano Micro and 2x GDU 98wh minis at the same time.
This unit is barely larger than my 3-year old Core SWX dual charger, but can charge twice as many batteries (as long as they're minis). Brilliant!

[7.3 lb] Let's face it... V-Mount batteries, adapters and accessories are the most stable, powerful and reliable source of power. They will power our cameras, monitors, and especially lighting when working in the field and they can be quite an investment. They are not cheap.

With that said, why would you go cheap on a charger? It's just common sense. 5 batteries can cost over a thousand dollars, and using cheap D-Tap changers, not only the overheat in extrames, some reaching 200.F, you can't touch the enclosure!! Plus, they don't have the sophistication and stability and proper current as a professional V-Mount charger does. It's good for your battery and it will ensure the longest life based on the proper conditioned rate / voltage they offer.

I previously own a Watson Dual Charger but this thing is my dream charger. Not only it will charger 4 batteries simultaneously, but, cosmetically, it is BEAUTIFUL! It's all made of METAL, and that spring loaded handle feels good to lift.

It also has a separate circuitry, separating the charging and the DC output. The bright charging status LEDs, you can't miss it. It shows when your batteries are done from a great distance. Red obviously means its charged, and green as ready.

Charging 4 Watson Pro Cine High-Load Gold Mount 150 watt-hour Battery takes less than 3 hours, 47 minutes and the unit remains cool, and SO DO THE BATTERIES! Now try that with a D-Tap charger...

Charging a Watson 50 watt-hour Micro V-Mount battery takes 1 hour, 27 minutes.

I also found the perfect soft bag online that almost looks like it was made for this charger. Search for Neewer NW-140-S (see pictures)

I can't be happier of more impressed with this charger. My dream charger :)

[4] Is it cheesy to get excited about a battery charger? Picked one of these up at Cine Gear a couple years ago and recently bought another. You will not be disappointed. Can also provide 60 watts via XLR to power external devices in addition to charging your batteries.

[4] It's relatively quiet operation is a big improvement over past loud fan chargers. Don't get me wrong, you can still hear it and wouldn't want it right next to you during an interview - but it's very acceptable. Compact and light. Chargers fast and will do two at the same time. I recommend.
