Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with my D800e?

A: I have use it with a canon 5D Mk III and worked fine, I guess will work with the nikon. The size are similar in those cameras.

Q: 2. Would this model fit a canon 5d mark ii?

A: the body will fit snugly but we reccomend the U-B housing for Professional sized bodies. a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/560924-REG/Ewa_Marine_EM_U_B_U_B_Underwater_Housing.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/560924-REG/Ewa_Marine_EM_U_B_U_B_Underwater_Housing.html/a if you use lenses with a 77 or 82 mm thread size then you would need the U-B100

Q: 3. Can this bag be used with a Sony Camcorder ?

A: The Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing is designed for auto-focus DSLR and SLR cameras. It is not compatible with a Sony Camcorder. Ewa-Marine does produce many bags for camcorders. This link list them all: https://bhpho.to/2YmAlJ3 For help choosing the correct bag for your Sony Camcorder you could email us at uw@bhphoto.com.

Q: 4. Will this fit the Fuji Xt3 with 16-80mm (72mm thread)? BH overview says 67, specs say 72. Ewa marine's website says 67, but their drawing indicates 72. Can someone look at it and see if it is 72mm? thx.

A: No, the Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing only works with filters up to 67mm in size. For 72mm you need the Ewa-Marine U-A100 Underwater Housing for DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras, BH #EWEMUA100 (https://bhpho.to/3Jdj5M6). One can use step up rings for the smaller filter sizes.

Q: 5. Will this housing fit a nikon D90? And how easy is it to use manual controls while the camera is in the housing? Is it safe to take this housing into surf and waves along the beach?

A: Yes with lenses with a maximum filter thread of 72 mm. this housing is rated for complete submersion in up to 60 ft of water

Q: 6. Will a nikon d750 and sigma 35mm lens fit in this?

A: the d750 will fit in this housing without a battery grip if you have a battery grip or lenses with a larger diameter than 72mm i suggest using the U-B100 series of housings.

Q: 7. Will this fit the Fujifilm XT3 + 10-24mm f/4 lens w/ a 72mm filter size?

A: Yes, it will fit the XT3 and 10-24mm lens.

Q: 8. Can a Canon 5D Miii with a 24-70mm (Canon L-Series) fit comfortably in here?

A: The Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing is too small for the Canon 5D mark III. Also the lens port could only handle lenses that have a 72mm filter thread. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM has a 82mm filter thread. The Ewa-Marine U-BF100 Underwater Housing is large enough for the Canon 5D Mark III and the lens port can handle lenses with a 82mm filter thread.

Q: 9. can a Nikon D750 with a 24-70mm nikorr lens fit in this housing?

A: For that outfit we would reccomend the U-B Series which allows for a larger body/lens combination. filter thread is also important to not as larger filter threads such as 77 or 82 mm lenses need to utilize the 100 designation housings which have a larger front port.

Q: 10. Will this work with a Nikon D7000 with a 16-85mm lens?

A: the only limitation is the filter thread if the lens has a filter thread of 82 mm then you will need to purchase the u-b100. giving more room and also the larger lens port.

[0.86 lb] When hurricane Irene hit our coast, I missed some of the best surf conditions during the year because i was on call carrying a pager. I needed a way to bring my pager out in the water. The solution is the DUS-1 Beeper Bag. I put my pager in a zip lock bag and into the Beeper Bag. The Beeper Bag goes into my camel bak. It works great. I can hear my pager go off while in the surf. I don't have to worry about my pager getting wet or missing a page.

[16 x 7 x 0.7"] My canoe I was riding on capsized before I had this product. Needless to say, my expensive DSLR and lens were damaged beyond repair. Bought this product to protect against water spray, dust, and overall protection from elements - and yes, from possible capsizing. It worked for the purpose intended. Will test it on shallow dive when opportunity arises. No leaks or moisture problems. However, it's tough but it's still plastic. So, you want to protect it from pokes and scratches or you just threw away almost $$.

[16 x 7 x 0.7"] Light weight and easy to use. I started using it with my Canon EOS10D and am still using it with the EOS 50D. With all other housings I would have had to buy a new one each time I changed the camera...

[Screw Rail Seal] This is a really great housing. I have been using it for surf photography. The housings made for surf photography can run you a couple of thousand, minimum, so this one is an awesome way to get started! It's a bit tricky without being able to test the settings and the lens port requires some cropping in post when using wide angle lenses. Totally worth it though!

[0.86 lb] Here is the most important thing you will need to know... IT WORKS! Putting your 5D Mark III into a body of water with a $2500 dollar lens and a flash does not feel natural in any way the first time you ease it into the water. But life is life and if it was going to leak I was going to find out the hard way, It did not leak. Humidity packets that came with it got rid of fog. The only tricky thing is that you really need to dial in your settings before getting in there, or use it on full auto. I shoot in Pools in Manual and it worked fine with a bit of going back and adjusting settings again. Direct flash looks terrible underwater as it does above water, so I am still not sure I will use flash again for my underwater needs. Great thing is I can turn flash on and off through the housing anyways so, not a big deal to have there just in case. The plastic does warp your lcd image and makes it look cloudy, the first time I thought everything looked terrible until I took it out of the thick plastic housing. Bottom line, this works, and the company that makes it guarantees your gear in case of manufacturing failure. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

[Lanyard] Keeping in mind, that I would have needed two seperate housings for my EOS 5D and EOS 7D if I had opted for a hard housing.... I would have spent about 10x as much or more! And would have ended up with the same photographic results....

[Screw Rail Seal] This waterproof case is dirt-simple, rugged, and relatively inexpensive. Our old Sony is a bit dated, but still a pretty good camera. Now that we have a new Nikon, I'll risk the old Sony for snorkeling duty in Central America this spring.

[Screw Rail Seal] Loved the shots - it was easier to preset many of the controls first - no problems on vacation reef dive -way cheaper than a hard housing - flexible but has a glass lens port.

[Lanyard] I went to Hawaii with the whole family, put my important documents, hotel card keys, credit cards, etc on this item and started swimming on the beach. This product is awesome, my whole items were kept secured, dry and neat. The plastic remained intact while I was swimming. I would recommend this practical product.
