A simple, yet powerfully effective tool for content creators, the Blue Yeti USB Microphone Midnight Blueis a USB mic offering a broadcast-quality sound, a rugged design, and multiple recording modes to suit your needs. The Yeti, offfered here in a midnight blue finish, has become a go-to mic for people who record podcasts, and who stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, and other similar platforms.

The multiple mic modes allow virtually any kind of content creator to do their thing with precision and ease. Use the cardioid setting to reject off-axis noise, minimizing room tone even when speaking directly into the mic. If you're recording with one other guest, select the Bidirectional polar pattern; now, you can speak into the front, while the guest speaks into the back, and the sides of the mic will reject unwanted room noise. Choose omnidirectional to pickup audio all around the capsule, which is great for work that features multiple voices. Finally, a stereo mode is wonderful for ASMR content or for recording music. A desktop stand and a USB cable are included, as is a suite of VO!CE software FX to improve your sound.

This mic is perfect for recording directly to computers, be they mac or windows systems. With the right, separately available adapters, you can also record with Android and iOS devices.

Yeti features controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute and microphone gain—putting you in charge of every level of the recording process. If you're experiencing distortion or feedback while recording an especially loud source, simply adjust the microphone's sensitivity with the gain control. Or, if you want to take a break in the middle of a podcast, use the instant mute button. Also, the included stand allows for pivoting in a variety of angles for ideal placement, with the added functionality of folding the mic down for storage and transport.

The mic has an integrated headphone amp with an independent gain control for latency-free monitoring. Simply plug your headphones into the mic's 3.5mm input, and you'll hear your broadcast-quality audio in all its glory.

The mic records audio at 16-bit / 48 kHz, giving you the broadcast standard for media playback. On the audio side, the tri-capsule design ensures that whatever mode you choose, the mic will pick up a clear and present sound.

Just plug the Yeti into your computer's USB port with the included USB cable, select it as a device in your recording software, and you're ready to get to work. The Yeti runs off your device's power, so no need to plug it into a wall. With driver-free operation, you won't have to download pesky software to get it up and running.

Blue VO!CE software is included, giving you an array of high-quality vocal filters, FX, and samples to showcase your voice in the best light. You'll find the following FX on hand:

  • High-pass filter
  • Noise reduction filter
  • Expander/gate
  • De-esser
  • Voice EQ

A: It does not. On or the other

Q: 4. What is the Signal to noise ratio?

A: The manufacturer has not provided a specification for the signal-to-noise ratio for the microphone, but they have provided the signal-to-noise ratio for the mic's built-in headphone amplifier which is listed as 114 dB. Here is a link to the complete manufacturer's product details for the Blue Yeti Pro (scroll down towards the bottom of the page to view the full list of specs): https://www.bluemic.com/en-us/products/yeti-pro/

Q: 5. how can i connect a usb yeti to an evo4 xlr jack?

A: The Blue Yeti is a USB mic, so it has an audio interface built in to it already.and can not be adapted to connect to an audio interface, such as the Audient EVO4. I would recommend choosing a microphone with an XLR connection to pair with the audio interface, such as the AKG Project Studio P420 Multi-Pattern Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, BH #AKP420B. Also, you can simply connect the Blue Yeti directly into your computer.

Q: 6. What is the difference between this Blue Yeti Pro and the 1967 Blue Yeti Pro? I'm assuming this model is the top of the line?

Q: 7. What type of USB connection does the Yeti use? My 16 inch Mac has a USB-C connection. Will I need to get a doodle to connect the Yeti to my mac that only has UBS-c inputs?

A: Its a Mini USB-B Here's a cable so you will not have to doodle: B&H #: J5JUCX10

Q: 8. How close does a singer need to be to the mic to be heard? using for voice lessons over zoom/skype/etc...

A: You can be up to feet away if you just want to be heard. The most ideal quality would depend on how loud you are singing and your distance to the mic in relation to that and it would also be best to monitor with headphones plugged into the microphone so that you can hear what it will sound like in the recording. Trying this out will give you the best results.

Q: 9. Game code said it has already been.used .does not let us out in year 2019 as date bought..why?

A: If the promotion had expired at the time of purchase, then the game code was simply no longer available.

Q: 10. Currently I am using this with an 8' usb cable. What is the longest usb cable length that it will work with?? At what length would I need a fiber optic type usb cable??

A: In general the maximum length you can expect a good connection from a USB cable is thought to be about 5 meters. For lengths over 5 meters an active repeater or fiber optic cable is recommended.

[3.73 lb] For a few months I used the Black version of the Blue Yeti, and as far as I'm aware the voice quality is the exact same without the need to pay $20 more for a black coat of paint. As usually though, the volume knob is a bit cheap and wiggles around a bit, but it's satisfactory.

[Mono / Stereo] I had an older Blue Yeti which I used all of the time, but it would often pick up vibrations from my desk. Especially after I bought a new aluminum desk, I could hear the humming of my external harddrive as well. Thats why I decided to pick up a new Yeti with the compass arm and radius 3 shock mount. A very great deal for this package. If youre just getting started, this is a perfect rig for you.

[Side Address] Great mic for podcasting on a budget. It's a bit sensitive, even for a condenser-style mic, but if you keep the gain down and intelligently select the recording pattern, it should not be a problem. I've only used it in quiet rooms, and never outdoors or in an environment with ambient sound. I would imagine it may not do so well in such an environment because of the sensitivity. I opt for shot-gun style mics in those environments. For controlled condition recordings, I don't think you'll do much better in terms of a USB mic and I highly recommend it.

[Mono / Stereo] My box said the game code expired 6/1/2019. I reported this to B&H and they looked into it and the manufacturer said it's a misprint, so I tried the code and it worked. (I haven't tried the microphone yet but what do you want to know? It's a Blue Yeti. No shortage of information around for Blue mics in general and particularly the Yeti.)

[Mono / Stereo] I bought the Blue Yeti to launch my online outsourcing service. We need to have a professional 1-minute maximum video tutorial to train our customers on using our platform. Yeti enabled us to record the voice instruction on the video: clearly with noise reduction to the minimum possible. You need to buy it with a bundle kit offered by B&H in order to get best results.

if this is your first time to use such professional level gear, buy it and search youtube for material on how to get best results out of your professional microphone.

In terms value for money, this is one of the best buy.

[Mono / Stereo] I tried a cheap amazon mic thinking they were all the same...they aren't. This records so much nicer! I'm not a pro but I could tell a difference so that says something! Not sure I care about the game at all, but for the price it was worth it. Love that is is USB!
