The 8" edge-wound voice coil helps the PB16-Ultra handle the force of the 16" driver, helping to ensure control and low distortion at high drive levels for enhanced output and low frequency extension. Pushing the driver are four dedicated toroidal ferrite magnets that deliver 95mm peak-to-peak Xmech excursion (82mm Xmax) and high levels of motor force and SPLs. The driver cone consists of a fiberglass resin composite with a stiffness-to-mass ratio designed to maximize air movement and sonic energy without distorting or losing control.

Rated at 1500W continuous / 5000W peak power, the built-in Sledge STA-1500D amplifier's 64A/200V MOSFETs are the sonic muscle behind the subwoofer. Its discrete MOSFET output is designed to push the driver to its peak performance. To harness the power of the amp, the subwoofer uses a 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering.

Compatible with Apple and Android platforms, the PB16-Ultra smartphone app controls all DSP functions and stores custom presets. For added convenience, 2-way feedback shows updates in real time on both the app and subwoofer interface, and Bluetooth connectivity allows adjustments to be made even when the subwoofer is not in sight. Control is also available via the included IR remote and a front-panel display.

The PB16-Ultra is built with an MDF front baffle and internal bracing to support the drive unit and to help ensure an acoustically inert environment. The reinforced internal design helps eliminate coloration or resonance from the cabinet, even when the deepest low frequencies are played at reference sound pressure levels.

A: We do not offer the unit in 220V. The amp itself is made as 220v, but the manufacture puts a jumper on the amp that converts it to 110V. To convert the amp back to 220v, you would need to remove the jumper from the amp and use a 220v power cord. For this you would need to contact the manufacture for the instructions to do so.

A: The UCS1P was designed for use with the any of the Unity passive or active loudspeaker systems - U15, U15P or U215 - and is the ideal active subwoofer to match their acoustic parameters. A: Yes. We are SVS authorized dealers and you would receive the full manufacture warranty.

A: According to SVS, switching is automatic.

[MDF] Package arrived well packaged and quick delivery from B&H. I've only had it for a few weeks but it has so far exceeded my expectations for this sub. Bluetooth app comes in very handy for changing and adjusting the settings without have to get behind the subwoofer. 5

[38 x 30 x 27"] Feet come with 3 sets of M8 screws (different lengths). I had to separately buy 15mm M10s to fit my Rythmik subwoofers. Inital fit of the screw was tight but could be overcome by manual effort - no need to use a drill. Fit and finish of these feet beats the OEM out of the box ones - 3-4x the size and quality is impeccable. Great sound. Reasonable price. Would highly recommend/buy again. 5

[Active] I purchased the SB-3000 as a replacement for my SB-1000. Having similarly tiny footprints, I expected some noticeable difference, but nothing dramatic. I couldn't have been more wrong! I use it in a small dedicated home theater room measuring 3.1m(L) x3.4m(W)x2.7m(H). My system is calibrated to 79dBC which I have found resembles the perceived loudness the large commercial cinemas the most. Calibrating to 85dBC in my room would sound far louder than even IMAX. So theoretically, in a 7.1 set-up, I would be asking my subwoofer to output a peak of around 111 (99*7+109)dBC at the listening position. Other subwoofers at this price range might struggle with such demands, but not the SB-3000. In fact, even after calibrating the system flat to +/-3dB, I still found the system sounding bottom-heavy during bass heavy scenes, more so than I remembered hearing in IMAX theaters. And then I found out that in Dolby Atmos' specifications for commercial cinemas (IMAX doesn't release its technical specifications, unfortunately), the subwoofers are only expected to go down to 31.5Hz +/-3dB. Therefore, to make sure that movies sound as they were intended (in large cinemas), I have to apply a 32hz high-pass filter to my subwoofer. Imagine that! The subwoofer is so powerful that even after equalization, I still need a high-pass filter to reduce the low frequencies unintended by filmmakers! Now, I understand that some people like their ultra-low frequencies, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you have a small room like mine, like to watch movies at IMAX levels, and is content with the amount of low-frequency output found in IMAX, then look no further! 5

[Active] I have the ported PB-1000 and PB-2000 Pro in duals in my family room and basement respectively. I replaced this with an SB-3000 in my bedroom and replaced an SB-1000 in my office with this sub. I like thick bass but in my bedroom or office I don’t want boomy bass. This subwoofer is amazing, not cheap but amazing. It doesn’t dig super deep but it digs deep enough to enjoy jazz, hip hop and old school soul, which is what I listen to the most. I use this sub to augment my Audioengine HD6 speakers. They really rock together. There are more powerful subs, bigger and brawniest subs, but for the money I don’t feel there is a sub with the combination of bass and clarity that emanates from this little, superbly built box. 5

[22 Kilohms] I both the SVS PB-2000 for my home theater. I had some surround speakers, but something was missing. I got this bass and now I can feel like I'm at the theater. I can feel the bass in my seats. My theater is not very large, and this bass might be a little much for it, but it really does the job well of giving me the bass I'm used to at AMC. 5

[22 Kilohms] The title pretty much says it all. I'm very pleased with the construction quality, the floor and other surfaces rattle less, and installing them literally took less time than disconnecting my subwoofer. I was pleased to see that they included several sizes of installation screws rather than just those for SVS subs since these are marketed as being useful for all subwoofers. It's a good touch that helps justify the price of these feet. 5

[Class-D] Had these waiting in the house for almost a month while my new Klipsch SPL-120 subwoofer was on back order. The subwoofer came with small feet. These feet are at least 3x the size as original. These fit the same screws as originals but SVS includes 3 different size set of 4 screws in package. The rubber isolation seems to be top notch. These were a great upgrade on the Klipsch and would highly recommend. 5
