The definition of versatility, the Nikon F-mount Sigma 24-105mm f/4 Art & 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Nikon F Kitfrom Sigma 24-105mm f/4 Art & 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Nikon F Kitis an Art-series zoom covering a useful wide-angle to short-telephoto range. Featuring a constant f/4 maximum aperture, this lens strikes an ideal balance between a portable form factor along with a bright enough design for working in available lighting conditions. Complementing this design, an Optical Stabilizer helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake throughout the zoom range for sharper handheld shooting. A Hyper Sonic Motor also contributes to intuitive handling and provides especially fast and quiet autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.

Complementing the physical design, this lens is also distinguished by its advanced optical layout, which include a series of low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements. These specialized elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range in order to realize a high degree of sharpness and clarity. Additionally, a Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied to individual elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color rendering in strong lighting conditions.

As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve truly notable optical performance and is ideally suited for creative and artistic applications.

Standard zoom is designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount cameras, however can also be used with DX models where it provides a 36-157.5mm equivalent focal length range.

Constant f/4 maximum aperture maintains a portable form factor and also offers consistent performance throughout the zoom range.

Two F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements and two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy.

Three aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortion for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.

A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.

Integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), along with an internal focusing system, realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.

Optical Stabilizer system minimizes the appearance of camera shake to benefit making sharper imagery when shooting handheld.

Rounded nine-blade diaphragm is constructed from durable, fluorine-coated polycarbonate and also features a carbon feather film for smooth performance when working with fast continuous shooting rates.

Constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations. Additionally, a brass bayonet affords improved mounting accuracy and rigidity.

This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why does the black one cost more than the grey one?

A: That is currently the best price offered on this particular color version.

Q: 2. Does this leofoto lens foot able to fit the new Sigma 150-600 DG DN Sports?

A: Yes, the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports Lens for Sony E can with this Leofoto Lens Foot.

Q: 3. Will this fit a Graflex Speed Graphic? Users say they store the camera in the bottom front pouch, but that pouch doesn't look deep enough.

A: After re-reading your question, if you are referring to the outside-most pocket, I'd say no. Firstly, it isn't padded, so I wouldn't want to put anything slightly valuable in it. It's good for a notebook or something malleable(dark cloth, changing bag, etc...). But if you're referring to the bottom partition (which is fully padded), then yes. It should fit no problem.

Q: 4. Does it have a location to hold a 17 in rail. Can a medal monofotto tripod attached.

A: F64 for Monophoto? Not THE same way!

Q: 5. How will does the auto focus work with BMPCC 6K cameras?

A: The Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM Art Lens (Canon EF) will work well with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K's autofocus.

Q: 6. where does the tripod go?

A: The side of the f.64 BPX Extra Large Backpack (Gray) has tripod/monopod straps.

Q: 7. Can this lens be used on the Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera, perhaps with an adapter? Thank you!

A: Hi, yes, you can mount this lens to the Z50 camera using the Nikon FTZ lens adapter: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1431716-REG/nikon_4185_ftz_mount_adapter.html

Q: 8. Has anyone had trouble with airlines using this as carry-on luggage? The size is listed as 23 long (1 more than most airlines allow ), but when I measured it it comes out to 25 long.

A: Its 25. Unfortunately that means it has to be checked in. But depending on what set up you have, the bag does have a squish factor that will allow you to squeeze the bag into the measuring bins at check in. I would call the airlines to make double sure you can take your precious cargo in the cabin with you I would hate to hear your camera was damaged in cargo.

Q: 9. is this lens copatible with d3200?

A: Yes, it's compatible. But keep in mind that because the D3200 is a crop sensor camera, this lens will perform as a 36-157mm lens on your camera.

Q: 10. How many stops of IS does this Sigma 24-105 lens offer? Looking at the newly announced Cannon 24-105 version 3 with 4 stops of IS vs, 2.5 of the version 2? Thanks.

A: I will attempt to answer the question, but first let me say that Canon has been upgrading their stabilization for L lenses and while I have both the Canon24-105 and the Can0n 100-400 L lenses, I do not have their latest stabilized in these focal lengths. Secondly I have been unable to find a single definitive test in the literature available to me of how a manufacturer can claim improvements in terms of f stops. It appears to me that every manufacturer choses their preferred method. Finally, there are issues of acceptable or desired resolution at different focal lengths. Since my Sigma 24-105 and 150-600mm are HSM Art lenses(more recently produced than the Canon L lenses than I own), it probably is not surprising that both the Sigma lenses provide noticeably better optical stabilization than the Canon lenses. I would bet that the newer Canon lens variants close that gap. With respect to optical performance when using tripods (i.e. lens stabilization is NOT an issue), both Sigma lenses offer noticeable advantages over the Canon lenses in terms of resolution and lack of distortion and color correction. Again, the latest Canon lenses have probably improved optics and may now be more competitive. So even if the two new lenses are roughly competitive, the difference in pricing is very significant with the new Canons being more expensive than the HSM Art lenses. You should be happy with either choice.

[Nikon F] Very sharp lens . I highly recommend it. The only drawback is that it is kind of heavy.

[82 mm (Front)] I love this lens, on a full frame camera I would rather have this vs a 24-70 F/2.8. This replaced a gen 1 Canon 24-105 that I dropped and even after repair was never reliably sharp.
Tested calibration out of the box and it was spot on, hits focus fast and reliably. Haven't really tested how much of a difference the IS makes, I normally keep shutter speeds over 160 so I can't speak to the effectiveness. It is definitely a heavy piece of glass so be ready if you plan on this being your walk around lens. I would not change anything about it.
