With its adjustable yoke and base rest, the stand holds a bassoon or a bass clarinet in either a forward- or rear-facing position, with the end pin extended or withdrawn. Two open taps give you the option of adding pegs (available separately) for instruments such as flutes, trumpets, and clarinets. This feature maximizes floor space and allows you to keep multiple instruments on hand. The swivel legs with locking pins fit easily around other equipment and snap securely into place. When it's time to pack up, simply press the pin to fold.

[6.35 lb] My work requires me to lug around a few expensive basses. Lying them on their sides causes all kinds of mishaps. Dragging a big stand to onstage is a problem, especially when you need to get on and off quickly. The other portable stand I had was really iffy, and I never quite trusted it. The K&M folds up really small, and the matching bag makes it easy to throw in the trunk. On the gig, it's easy to set up and very stable. Only problem I have is getting the endpin into the cup, but that's just Operator Error, LOL! 5

[6.35 lb] I use this microphone for live performance of clarinet + live electronics. Finally I am able to be mobile and compact on the stage, not using two separate microphones (with so many holes sound source is practically everywhere in this kind of instrument). I hope this solution will also help to avoid feedback problems. Sound quality is great, but I am not expecting it to be 100% natural, since the lower microphone is pointing almost directly to the bell, getting very rich of low freqs sound. I think it will be best to combine it with wireless solution. 5
