Q: 1. What does the material feel like? will it wrinkle?

A: The Savage Collapsible/Reversible Background (5 x 6', Spring Essence) is manufactured from high-quality, non-reflective cotton that eliminates glare. You may use a garment steamer to eliminate wrinkles quickly and easily, and the item is easy to clean by wiping it down with a damp cloth.

Q: 2. Does it include a stand like in the picture box?

A: This item number is for the background only. I was told by Simon in Customer Service that the photo used on this page stating the stand is included is strictly to show "a stand" in use with background. Very misleading, but B&H has been good to me in the past, so not much I can do.

Q: 3. Is the height of the stand adjustable? Can the backdrop be lowered to touch the ground so that the stand legs aren't visible?

A: The stand is adjustable and you can position it as you like.

Q: 4. Do you have a recommendation for a carrying / shipping case for this? The smaller version fit in my standard checked bag, but this new size doesn't fit.

A: It feels sort of like a thin lycra-spandex. Good quality. I have 8-10 of them that my student use in our AV Tech. class. They have held up well with the exception of the cases. The cheap carrying case zippers broke almost immediately.

A: The stand can also be used with 5x6' backgrounds.

A: setup stand and boom arm to desired position set and slide the two pinch-clamps into position for either a horizontal or vertical backdrop installation set and forget. Would suggest a sandbag if being used outdoors.

Q: 10. Does it include a stand? The pictured box says a stand is included but it's not mentioned as being included in the description.

A: This item listing shows a Savage part number of CB186. The part number that includes the stand is CB186-KIT, which B&H also carries but is not currently discounted. So I would assume this sale item does not include the stand, despite the photo of the box that explicitly includes a stand.
