Q: 1. Does the texture of the fleece-like material require care about keeping out of focus? Sounds like it's not as smooth as paper - even stretched out...?

A: These are not as smooth like Seamless paper

Q: 2. Can this be mounted laterally on a track system? My room is not as tall but I need something wide enough to wrap around the back wall and 2 corners or my studio, so I thought the 20' would work laterally.

A: There is no loop to mount it laterally and I think it is insufficient in width.But this can be customized to apply to your situation if you don't mind the shortened floor extension

Q: 3. Is this material dense enough to use to black out light from large windows?

A: Funny you should ask because that's what I use mine for when it's not being used on a shoot. It doesn't do a perfect job of blocking 100% of the window light but it will definitely help reduce by at least 75%(my opinion). I'll see if there's a way to upload a picture.

Q: 4. Is it machine washable?

A: I haven't washed the backdrops yet. I have had to use a mild soap to remove some make-up that got on the white backdrop. The stains came right off without an issue.

Q: 8. How opaque is this backdrop? If I put a couple 2,000 lumen light strips behind it, will they illuminate/diffuse or mostly block the light?

A: I bought this item and rather than opaque I would describe it as translucent. And in that regard it works great. I use softboxes facing the model and an alien bee behind the dropdrop and it lights up the back ground in the image as titanium white, its great.

Q: 9. Are the grommets on the 20 and 9 sides?

A: Grommets are only on the 9 sides, but theres three on each end. Worked for us because I mounted the grommets on one corner, ran it 20 across, mounted the other corner, and then clamped it in the middle of the 20 section.

Q: 10. Is this backdrop thick enough to prevent light from bleeding through?

A: I'm not quite sure the context you have in mind, but I've set it up in front of a window and there'll be a bit of light come through, but it's not an issue if you're then hitting the background with a flash to blow it out white.
