Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this film 35mm T-Max ISO400 36 exposure film?

A: Yes, this is Kodak T-Max ISO 400, 36 count exposures in the roll.

Q: 2. How does this film hold when pushed to 1600,3200 and 6400 iso?

A: T-Max is well known to be able to be pushed to 1600. However, I don't know how it holds up after that. I've heard of HP-5 being pushed to 3200 but you would need to stand develop that roll or it would be way too contrast.

Q: 3. Can I get this in a pack (like 5 or 10)?

A: This film is priced the same per roll regardless of what quantity you purchase. We do not currently have it bundled in any quantity pack, but you may purchase it at whatever quantity you prefer.

Q: 4. What is the film speed rating of this film?

A: It says 400 on the box.

Q: 5. Does it come in canisters?

A: Yes, it comes in plastic canisters.

Q: 6. Is this film stable in the fridge? I shot a roll after 8 months in the fridge and it seemed much more grainy than the last roll. I'm also asking because I sent it to a smaller lab closer to home and want to know if that could have been the problem instead.

A: I have never had any issues storing them in a refrigerator.

Q: 7. Do you know if this film will be available in 100 feet (bulk) size ?

A: There is no mention of it from Kodak Alaris. Here is what the P3200_FAQs sheet says: Q. Will you expand to support medium format? (120) A. Possibly, depending on the level of demand. But initially it will be available in 135 format only. So 120 format is possible if demand for P3200 is high enough.

Q: 8. Please inform me the expiration date of this film?

A: The fresh film B&H sells is good for at least 6 months. When the expiration date becomes less than 6 months, it is sold at a discount as short dated or expired..

Q: 9. I can't seem to find on the page how many exposures are in this roll?

A: The amount of exposures and rolls you can get from the TMY 35mm 100' Roll, would in part depend on how you load the cassettes. There really isnt a set standard for this. If you are looking for pre-loaded 35mm cassettes, then you would want to go with one of the following 24 or 36 exposure rolls. http://bhpho.to/1lQsN8g

Q: 10. When is the expiry date of the film

A: Current inventory in our 420 superstore has an expiration date of May 2022. Based on the batch received, inventory in possession might have varying dates around the same approximate time period.

[1] Tmax is my favorite black and white film. It is beautiful and versatile. It responds to pushing well, particularly when you ignore Kodak's recommendations and develop with a one-stop push when shooting at 800 ISO. Tmax scans well, and its fine grain makes it easy to sharpen the images while post-processing. With trix, my results are often harsh and I tend to lose a lot of detail in shadows. Tmax instead maintains a softness as well as good contrast that makes it particularly useful when working in low-light situations. Overall, a beautiful film with fantastic latitude.

[36] I use this 35mm film when i want to make photos without using a tripod; sometimes with a monopod. Good negatives will enlarge to 8x12 without losing focus.
