Capture sharp, detailed photos and video beneath the surface with your Canon EOS 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, or 5DS R DSLR camera in Ikelite's Underwater Housing with Dry Lock Port Mount. The front and back parts are depth rated to 200' and 50', respectively. The back can be swapped out for an optional one with a 200' rating for diving, allowing you to go much deeper. An Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead connector with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional, external strobes. Use of an optional TTL hot shoe and circuitry will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.

Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push-buttons, knurled knobs/dials, and levers, afford access to virtually all camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It's white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but the clear Lexan back plate allows you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.

The housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts various dome and flat ports for a broad array of zoom, macro, and wide-angle lenses. For full compatibility, see the Port Chart. The Dry Lock (DL) Port System accommodates lenses with large diameters, and provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to the included vacuum valve for checking watertight integrity before the dive.

Q: 4. Would this protect my camera from paintballs if I used it to film paintball? Was wondering if it can withstand paintballs pelting it. Would it just dent or would it shatter the 200DL?

A: The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha 1 or a7S III with Dry Lock Port Mount would be a good housing to protect your camera. I have not specifically seen it tested for photographing/filming paintball and cannot state if it would withstand direct hits from a paintball, but it would be one of the best protection options for your stated usage needs. If you wish, you can contact Ikelite directly with your inquiry about the experience with using their housings for use with paintball either by calling them at 317-923-4523 or by e-mailing them at ikelite@ikelite.com.

[6.715 lb] I bought this about a year ago to do some underwater photography in Barbados. The housing worked great with my D850 with a 28mm Nikkor prime. Make sure to carefully follow the directions prior to use and cleaning after use. It will float, so you may want to add weights to make it less buoyant. I used it for snorkeling, which made it hard to dive down with it. If you added a little weight, it would be much better. Also make sure to get as many settings set before putting the housing on, as it is more difficult to monkey with it once youre in the ocean.

[4.4 lb / 2.0 kg] I accidentally purchased the Fantasea, but returned it in exchange for the Ikelite due to limitations of the camera zoom function. The tray for camera mounting and full range for the camera zoom on the Ikelite make for a good underwater housing. Adding a grip give more to hold onto in the water.

[6.715 lb] my only criticism is i can't understand why they wouldn't sell it with both handles the first time around. its so much easier to handle with both you ultimately end up purchasing a second one down the road

[4.4 lb / 2.0 kg] Probably the best housing for my Cannon R5 EVER!

[4.4 lb / 2.0 kg] The buttons, wheels and levers seem a bit much when you take it out of the box. BUT when you load your camera and lens (D780 Nikon for me) the buttons, wheels and levers are all intuitive and right where they're supposed to be. A couple of the levers or triggers are used for the shutter, AF, etc. BUT they are also pretty intuitive for diving.

Two things I suggest that they should just sell with the kit.
1) the vacuum pump should come standard. The peace of mind it gives is worth every penny.

2) you're going to need the optional weight arm. This rig with an extension and the large dome is not a little buoyant it is very buoyant. I added the weight holder arm with 2lbs for fresh water and get a great natural buoyancy.

[6.715 lb] I did not experience any issues with this housing fitment with my camera. At nearly half the price of the other two manufacturer's models, I'm happy with my decision. As well, the customer service and technical support at Ikelite is very responsive. Simply being able call to speak with a knowledgable person is almost unheard of in this day and age. I need to give a shout out to B&H, their fulfillment/shipping was stellar. I received my product next day.

[4.4 lb / 2.0 kg] I haven't tested in water yet, but out of the box this housing fit my TG-7 camera with the FCON-T02 fisheye lens installed perfectly, and the dome port appears to be very high quality. I also bought the trigger extension which makes taking a picture even easier with my camera tray. Other than the housing is a bit expensive, I couldn't be happier. B&H immediately shipped, and I received earlier than projected. I'll definitely be purchasing again from B&H.

[4.4 lb / 2.0 kg] I purchased this last month before I several underwater trips. This housing is incredibly well made and is solid. I debated between sea frogs and this product and Ikelites construction is meant for serious usage. The only feature you can’t utilize while underwater is the flash release. I spent about 2 weeks playing with the housing in the pool and on land before I headed on vacation. I recommend you do the same as the controls are there but have a different feel. I also realized it was hard to hold so I added an Ikelite grip and highly recommend it. This allows a good firm grip while Scuba diving or Snorkeling and also provides an attachment point.

[6.715 lb] Until I got this housing, I've been using a less-expensive competitor's flexible housing. It worked fine, but I was shooting with my older Canon 5D Mk IV, because I didn't trust that housing with my new R5. This new Ikelite housing provides a real sense of confidence that there will be no leaks, so I trust it with the more expensive, newer camera. The better sensor, lens and focusing speed of the R5, along with the positive control and clear display of the 200DL housing, makes the combination a whole new level of quality. My ratio of usable shots has quadrupled with this combo, making my time underwater much more efficient. The dual handles, trigger extensions, and large, clear back cover make the 200DL easy to handle and predictable to shoot with. Very happy with this purchase.

[6.715 lb] I bought this case shortly before Covid stroke in anticipation of doing some snorkeling. Unfortunately the case was collecting dust for the few years thereafter - but finally I was able to use it!

1. Inserting the camera is a breeze. Unlike other cases it is extremely easy to insert the camera - which is great!
2. I didn't ever expereience fog in the case as I have seen it in other cases before. Highly appreciated!
3. The case is really sturdy and well built! I never had problems pushing the buttons I was trying to hit!
4. The case really allows the full extent of the lens which makes it work the full range - which is awesome! (well - if the water is clear, the sun is bright and you can hold steady that is)
5. Sunglare and reflections as I have seen it on other cases didn't happen. The case is really great in making the camera and the screen content easily visible even when snorkling and when the sun is at its brightest!
6. Very easy to clean.

On the downside:
A. The case is definitely a bit bulkier than the others I had before.
B. Be careful with the strap. After using it the third (!!) time I noticed that the rubber was showing some weakness (and you do not want to have the case falling - I do have my doubts that that would be good). As the case is technically already 2 years old I think I am beyond my warranty and have to buy new ones. But: Be careful!

All in all: In my experience the Sony RX100 series (used the II, III, and IV before already for underater photography) is super awesome for underwater photography as it is super fast on, focuses super fast and the pictures are sharp. Together with this case it is an awesome combination!
