A: This is very dependent on the person who will be using it and also the area you will be using it in. Female vocals will sound very different than male vocals. Regardless on the frequency response alone, the Beta87a being a condenser it will give you much more clarity and more definition for speech. where the Beta58a will give you a more well rounded sound and will be better in louder environments. It very much depends on who and where you will be using these microphones.

A: BLX wireless series features a fully integrated capsule in its handheld transmitters. This means that the microphone capsule is hardwired into the transmitter handle which does not allow it to be removed to change capsule types. BLX and GLX-D are the only Shure wireless series with handheld transmitters like this. All other current series allow you to switch out the capsule and are compatible with this product.

[Black] I wanted to upgrade one of my Shure SLX2/SM58 handheld mics to a condenser mic with a higher frequency range and the Shure 87C element provides this especially for female singers; now I don't have the hand noise that can happen with corded SM87C mics so I have the best of two worlds and the ones using the mics definitely like what they hear as does the audience; besides the swap out of mic elements is simple; thanks Shure for making my life easy 5

[0.395 lb] Looked all over for the best place to get these, and of course I should have started at B&H. These are great little cables for drum mics which clip onto drums. Decreases clutter, very light and easy to use. They also sound great. Got here quickly from B&H. 5

[0.395 lb] I bought this cable as a replacement for my existing Beta91 cable. I had resoldered it, but it always crackled and popped when I wiggled the connector. So, I bought this cable and have had no problems since. 5

[Yes] no more cracks or hums . I experenced an occational pop in the mains . trouble shot it down to the beta 91 kick drum mic . mic and cable was about 6 years old with regular use. New cable from shure made it brand new again . 5

[Black] I've got a couple spare MX185 cardioid capsules that I used with a pair of MX202 hanging microphones, and in order to use this with my wireless system, just needed the cable. Comes nicely packed with bubble wrap and a protective cover from the factory, just pull off the cover and the capsule screws right on. 5
