Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The description says it's aluminum, but the reviews say it's brass - which is it?

A: Aluminum, without a doubt. I have brass step up rings as well, they are substantially heavier than this ring.Let that not reflect poorly on the craftsmanship however; it is still a superbly machined piece of metal with precise fit and finish.

Q: 2. Does using a 62 mm lense instead of a 52 mm lense make a difference in photo quality?

A: In general, no. However, it can be used to prevent vignetting on a wide angle lens with a standard ring polarizer or when stacking more than one filter on a lens.

Q: 3. IS this only compatible with freewell magnetic filters? or can it be used with other brands as well?

A: Guaranteed compatibility is only with Freewell magnetic filters unfortunately.

Q: 4. do you have a brass set like this?

A: There are many individual step-up rings made of brass, but there are no sets of brass step-up rings like the Nisha Step-Up Ring Set (Set of 8).

Q: 5. Would the 49-77 be good for my old Pentax 50mm f2 with a 49mm filter thread? Trying to get all my lenses using 77mm filters and lens caps.

A: it will work for filter and caps if you like , the lens hood would not fit

Q: 6. Will this ring fit Tiffen 55mm Circular Polarizing Filter

A: Yes it will.

Q: 7. Will this 62-82mm adapter ring be compatible with the Kase K9 Filter Holder Kit (K100 System)?

A: Yes, the will thread to the Kase 82mm Magnetic Lens Adapter Ring included with the Kase K9 100mm Filter Holder Kit.

Q: 8. does it work on sigma 56mm 1.8 ?

A: If you are referring to the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens, then yes, the Vid-Atlantic 58mm Anamorphic Bokeh Filter with 52-58mm Step-Up Ring would be compatible for use on the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens. However, as the Sigma lens uses 55mm filter threads, you may also need to purchase the Sensei PRO 55-58mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring, B&H # SESURPA5558, to connect the filter onto your Sigma lens.

Q: 9. Can I use it like a regular 52-82 Step-Up Ring?

A: Yes, the NiSi 52-82mm Step-Up Ring for 100mm V5/V5 Pro/V6/V7/C4 Holder could be use as a standard step up ring to connect 82mm in the front thread.

Q: 10. Hello, I have a 67mm Haida brand filter. Can I use this ring on my other 39mm diameter lens? Thanks.

A: This Benro Step-Up Ring will allow you to mount a 67mm filter on a lens with a 39mm filter thread.

[Aluminum] fits nice and is easy to put on

[5 mm] I use it on my nifty fifty and my ef-s 24mm. I put a 67mm ND fader on it. You can really touch the quality. It's not a cheap metal ring. It has texture. So, it is easier to put screw in and out. Note that the smallish focus ring of the 50mm 1.8 II is hard to handle with the ring on. Autofocus will be your only solution for certain situations. That problem will not occur for other lenses (or the newest 50mm 1.8) where the focus ring is not on the very end of the lens.

[52 mm to 62 mm] This is just a great step-up ring. It is very thin and well constructed, so you won't see any vignetting. Totally recommended.

[Aluminum] Threads onto the larger filter and lens very nicely, while releasing fairly smoothly so far.

[0.04 lb] The best.

[0.04 lb] You can easily mount your larger filters on a smaller filter thread lens with no problems. Neither side of this adapters threads will ever bind! Top quality!

[Side, Top] I've got a couple of small prime lenses that are great for shooting video. So, with a couple of inexpensive step-up rings, I can use my 67mm polarizer and variable neutral density filters to shoot wide open in sunshine.

[Side, Top] I really like not having to buy additional polarizing and ND filters. Works seamlessly.

[Side, Top] Cheaper than a new filter, it does the job well! Strong material, light and ease to use.

[Side, Top] I've used a wide variety of step-up rings over the decades. This one is smoother and stronger than the cheaper ones I have used so I recommend it without reservation.
