[0.07 lb] Definitely an improvement over the slick vinyl covers that deteriorate and leave black flecks on your ears and face. I prefer the texture as well; it's not sticky during the summer and warmer during the winter.

That said, nothing lasts forever and you will have to replace these before you see any exterior wear...

I've had my 7506s since the mid-90s and like others I've had to replace the ear pads after 3-4 years as the smooth vinyl begins to deteriorate. After going through this a few times I eventually found these velour pads and thought my problems were solved.

On the exterior they were - I've had these velour pads for close to a decade now and while they do have a bit of the smooth vinyl on the part that attaches to the headphones, and while that did deteriorate and come off after a couple of years, the actual velour pads have been fine.

However, a few weeks ago I noticed a buzz in my left driver. At first I thought the driver had finally broken, but I realized that the buzz wasn't consistent as you would expect from a broken driver. After taking off the covers I found the issue: while the exterior of the pads has held up, the thin layer of foam that covers the drivers had begun to deteriorate and little pieces had fallen onto the driver cone. After a very delicate extraction and cleaning of the foam crumbs the driver was buzz-free. But it was not an easy process.

The point is that while the exterior of these hold up well, the foam on the interior will eventually deteriorate.

I was able to remove and clean that out, but it could have ruined the drivers. So I'd recommend checking on these periodically - much better to catch this and replace the pads than deal with a delicate and messy cleaning. You can use the slick vinyl on the exterior collar as a warning guide! After all of that has deteriorated and come off, it's probably a good time to examine the interior!

[0.07 lb] These pads are thicker but softer than the stock balanced pads, so they are a significant upgrade in comfort for glasses wearers like me. As far as the sound signature changes go, I find that it closely matches what Dekoni themselves measured on the Dt1990 on their blog. Unfortunately that means it's not the holy grail that tames the Beyer treble that the internet is abuzz about. I liked my mids just the way they were on the balanced pads, so unfortunately any deviation from that is a slight downgrade that I am still figuring out how to eq back. Still, the improvement in comfort alone is worth it.

[0.07 lb] 100% Recommended, these pads are so much better than the OEM pads that come with the HD700. The OEM pads always get dirty and are hard to clean compared to these.

The sound stage does change ever so slightly as the drivers are further away from your ears a bit but its not a big change so its nothing I would be concerned about it.

[0.07 lb] I purchased these ear pads for a pair of Koss Pro-dj200 headphones. They were a little hard to get on, but they fit fine. They are way more comfortable than the stock pads. The sound did not change at all. Good ear-pads Dekoni

[0.07 lb] I pranked someone at work by putting tiger balm (think Ben gay) on their headphones... so worth it. But they couldn't get the smell out so... yeah. Fits great and much better than the plasticy stuff

[0.07 lb] Great quality product and it fit perfectly over the stock headband strap of my Audioquest Nighthawk. The Choide Suede material is quite plush and comfortable.

[0.07 lb] These are really great for the DT 1990 Pro. They are more comfortable then the A pads and they widen the sound just a little while softening the sharp highs of the 1990s. They might not be as analytical but I much prefer them. They also feel very durable so I'm sure they'll last the distance.

[0.07 lb] Good replacements for OEM ear pads. Fit and finish is excellent. Memory foam is a bit more firm and thicker than the original pads, should last longer if that is any indicator.

[0.07 lb] Haven't used my headphones much since I got these, but they're soft and easy to install... so if that's your thing, go for it!

[0.07 lb] Having read reviews for these replacement velour earpads I was very interested in seeing if they were worthy of all the hype. The good news is that they most definitely are fantastic! Since the equivalent to the original earpad eplacements were out of stock, I went with the velour upgrades. They are very comfortable and adequately replace the OEM earpads for my Sony headphones. I would purchase them again in a heartbeat.
